The mainstream media calls Das Racist comedic rap so that they get a pass for not understanding the lyrics or the motives. I call them serious rap. Serious as cancer. Lyrical rap cancer. You are gonna need chemotherapy.

yeah they make literary references and indicate how well read they are with their occasional name dropping like ‘listening to 3 stacks while reading gaya spivak’ or ‘listening to cam while l’m reading arundhati roy.’ I seen Hari Kondabolu in the cameo, word up. One can ponder their lyrics or just pretend its stupid joke rap, but it ain’t.
