Santiago’s Kids Are Sicker Than Your Average…

Have any of you peeped the situation in Chile regarding the student protests for school reforms? This is the best sign to me that the world is not going to end under the weight of lazy, stupid people that support an Administration that does nothing for them. I couldn’t even begin to imagine a half-million students in America demanding that their voice be heard for something more substantial than “I want my MTV!”

These kids in Chile are beefing because the education system there is not accessible to all classes of citizens. The kids in the city are standing up for the poor kids in the mountains, and the working class kids on the farms. It’s not just on the grade school level that these kids are pushing for reforms. but for the right to have access to affordable higher education also. Chile kids are so 180 degrees more realer than anything that wears a du-rag and baggy jeans on this side on the hemisphere. This is so powerful that I need to rethink including Chile as part of the Mexican diaspora. I can’t remember Mexicans ever protesting because they wanted to be more educated. Even my boy TONY feels like he’s already learned enough English for a lifetime.

This week the Chilean president took a break from her country’s issues to visit the White House and shoot the shit with G DUBBZ. Did you see how homey doesn’t even get out of his seat to shake her hand. That’s like saying, “Whatever bitch, you can’t even control your child population because you don’t have electricity for televisions.”

Oh yeah, good look on the invite to your spot Friday. I’m actually not coming through until next weekend (17th) and just for that day (unfortunately). Got any Saturday night joints to recommend?
