The battle rages here in America over who is going to own their vagina in the new millenium. I see all kinds of movements afoot to get women to ingest all manner of pills and medications in order to regulate their poons. Some of the medicines make the poon infertile, while others kill the love slot slowly. How much you want to bet me that OPRAH sells some of these drugs on her television show and in her publications?
A spearmint dream deferred? Chewable contraception that freshens your breath while your ovaries are shriveled like a raisin in the sun.
This birth control patch isn’t just killing eggs. It’s killing egg holders too.
And last, but certainly not least, Plan B. Because someone just forgot that Plan A should only have been some heavy petting.
Do you see how many pills are required to have sex? And then you still have to worry about HPV and lord knows what else the neoconservative scientists are incubating in their reichstag labs. Do yourself a favor until you are ready to settle down. Masturbate. At least you won’t become a pill addict.
. . . the decay of society and breakdown of the family unit slowly continues.
NYTimes reports that 51% women of the U.S. don’t want nothing with regular dudes. They have the opportunity like slob other girls, casual sex, getting pissy drunk, winning beauty pageants while being cosigned by rich manginas with a bad toupee. Or they can always flash their vaginas and rack up the number of baby-fathers.
Who owns the poon? Well not Jason-yes, she did beat him-Kidd, Michael Strahan (ouuch), Michael Jordan or even Sir Paul McCartney. You never know when a dime piece might lose value.
My aspiriations of being a Gigolo seem to be more on point than ever. Could someone turn up what’s love got to do with it while I get in costume.
Why is the white chick in the first pic trying to stick her azz out to look like she has some booty?
Doesn’t look like a white chick but a slim model type hi-yella. I’d hit it!
Usually I come to this site to find myself humoured; not to the point of being insulted, but often right on the precipice. Never actually offended but always challenged. NOT TODAY! WTF. Birth control is NOT a bad thing. It’s a lifestyle management tool not just a reproductive management tool. Maybe I’m taking this too seriously/personally but this entire entry wreaks of alpha male, patriarchal bullshit to me. How are you going to simultaneously sexualize women (a la the imagery) and condemn them for the very thing you’ve just celebrated (a la the copy)? Reproduction is not the sole purpose of sex! WTF!!!!
Uh, what kind of dude here is coming out as anti casual sex? Birth control is awesome, guys…it means you can have sex with women and not have a bunch of babies. What is wrong with you? If every single woman takes your advice and abstains until marriage…guess what, you’ll be stuck at home whacking it, because you’ve just eliminated your dating pool. Think it through, folks.
I understand what folks are saying, and while I’m sure we all appreciate birth control, it is contributing to the decay of the familial unit. Period. When people started thinking that sex WASN’T supposed to lead to babies, children and the women who birth them became completely disposable. And this sick thinking is why people have convinced themselves that abortion is a “natural right”, why 22 sex partners in one lifetime is “a part of growing up” and why an increasing number of people don’t immediately laugh heartily at shit like “A Man’s Right to Choose”. Birth control is a quick and fallible fix that our society is, by and large, too simple not to abuse. I say that as a hypocrite on birth control. I know my fucking vices.
^Co sign with jen’s comment.
Gay people got it easy.
Sorta…
I never said I was against sex.
You can have sex with whomever you want.
You can stick your penis in a toaster.
You can shove a christmas tree up your twat.
But when you have to take pills in order to have sex, the drug becomes more important than the sex. There are other lifestyle management options — other than being a drug addict.
both jen and dallas are on point. Ladies, birth control has never been safe = you wanna know what reeks of patriarchal white supremacist capitalist bullshit – the last century of birth control history. Eugenics, forced sterilizations, testing on women of colour (not just in America but in the Caribbean – can anyone say Puerto Rico?), native reserves, the “mentally unfit”, “economically challenged” etc.
Don’t be fooled, birth control is not about reproductive “freedom”….check Dorothy Robert’s Killing the Black Body. It thoroughly explains how “birth control” is a matter of social justice for everyone!
another rousing endorsement for Trojan Magnums….
being that i do not charge…well….i have been having a dry spell here lately (fellas, let’s be REAL FRANK, you ALWAYS PAY in one way or another!) my guess is that uncle sam is my owner, cause he taxes EVERY penny I make, although I do claim as many deductions as allowable. (i have a democratic bank balance and a republican budget, okay!)
but on the real…birth control…not for me…i have 3 children and they are my treasures! i did try them for a hot minute back in the day…never got fixed after that last one…just REAL CAREFUL.
But when you have to take pills in order to have sex, the drug becomes more important than the sex. There are other lifestyle management options — other than being a drug addict.
I challenge you to find anyone to whom birth control pills have become “more important than the sex,” i.e. a woman who is not sexually active but stays on the pill because of a genuine addiction. I keep Tums in the house because I like my Thai food spicier than my stomach can handle; women stay on birth control because they want sex lives without being saddled with dozens of children. What’s the big deal?
Shonquayshah, there is no conflict between birth control, or even abortion, and having children. The statistics tell us that the majority of women who abort a pregnancy either have at least one child already, or will have at least one child in the future. And without doubt far more mothers or future mothers have used birth control than have had abortions. Even for women who are or want to be mothers at some point, it is not always the right time.
Modern family planning is like any other modern invention that liberates us from the whims of nature. We used not to be able to count on getting our next meal, and now most of us can go to the supermarket instead of hoping we can kill an antelope or whatever. And you can romanticize that hunter/gatherer lifetime all you want, but to actually revert back to that kind of life, and losing all of the opportunities for personal growth that we now enjoy as a result, would be insane.
Thanks for bringing this thread about killing women slowly back to life. All the points you discuss when you use the term family planning are actually about family killing. You need to step up your research game to read about all the women who used BC pills during the sixties and developed similar cancers in their late forties early fifties.
Hunting and gathering stopped early in human development when agriculture became the system for forming communities and cultivating foodsources. Don’t even put birth control pills on that level. Too bad you have a disdain for nature and it’s laws. People have whims, nature keeps it real all day everyday. It doesn’t change how it feels about someone overnight and its way more committed to family building than your pills will ever be.
If you need drugs in order for you to feel secure about the liberation of your body go ahead with your bad self. It’s not your body that needs liberation anyhoo. It’s your mind.
^^^thank you, dallas!
i am close to someone who did take the pills when they were first available…she ended up with cancer! thank the lord she is still alive! but that’s not the case for everyone…these “doctors” and “researchers” most of the time know the out come of their “experiments” well in advance. case in point hiv/aids
it’s all about money, ain’t a damn thing funny…
if everyone stayed healthy, they would be jobless and homeless (“doctors” and “researchers”)
just because it’s available, convenient, whatever they say…doesn’t mean you have to sip the kool-aid!
