I usually lerk on the site but I had to comment on this. My comment, I couldn’t agree with you more. Perfectly said.
“This will not stop here”…is right, I think. The system is in SO much trouble: I don’t know if we can still abide the contrived two-party system enshrined in the Constitution now that we have a new (FIFTH) branch of government posted up in the lobby. Perhaps it’s time for a (THIRD) Constitutional Convention?
(Quick Wikipedia fact-checking confirms that the CONVENTIONAL count of Constitutional Conventions and Branches of Government is One and Three, respectively, but they wrote the Articles of Confederation at the First Continental Congress, and according to Article Five of the Constitution, some say, there should already BE a fourth branch of government in the form of…a permanent Constitutional Convention of sorts among the states! I was originally thinking President, House, Senate, and Judiciary, though, just to keep it real…)
