How The West Was White…

The morning news is featuring the story of this hotel owner in New Mexico who forbade the spanish speaking employees from speaking spanish in his presence. Ha, good luck with that in NEW MEXICO. Good luck with that anywhere in the U.S. for that matter.

The hotel owner also told the employees to remove the ethnicity from their names. Marcos begat Mark and Martin begat Martin. But we all know that spanish folks love to say ‘Marteeeen’. Hell, I love to sy it my damn self. Do you remember that scene from ‘Roots’ where Lavar Burton gets publicly whipped until he calls himself Toby?

That was awesome.

Everybody loves this scene. It’s the ultimate description of being owned.

The hotel owner probably lives for the characters that John Wayne portrayed who came into the wild, untamed west and shot Indians in the back and burned the squaws and children alive in their teepees.

Sadly, the hotel owner can’t do that nowadays because of these stupid laws giving rights to the savages but he will be good and sure that his plantation is overseen correctly. This was always America. Living in New York its easy to forget this on most days when police aren’t throwing 50 bullets at you.

The hotel owner’s mandated cultural appropriation isn’t odd to him. It’s what John Wayne would have done on the silver screen. But do we all know about John Wayne’s lifestyle when he wasn’t making a movie?

When my family & I drove cross country, through AZ, NM & TX, it was so cool to see how the people looked @ us not only as out of place coloreds, but out of place coloreds from California. I wasn’t @ all offended, I played on their fantasies[||], with a “whatitdo?” for their “howdy” or purposely wearing my hat in some slightly askew position in contrast to their cowboy hats.

I did see plenty of hispanics, though. They were always cool, @ the gas station, truck stops, Burger King, liquor stores (no relapse). People give them a hard time, but fux that. The Black & Brown (native americans included) are cut from the same cloth of inequality & capitalist anarchy. We’re more similar than opposite. Too bad the machine has us looking @ one another through hate goggles.

Yo, damn all that…who was the brainchild that added the Mike Jones track as the score to that scene? he is the winner.
& that last photo, is prahli teh gheyest brokeback picture ever, B

Kunta (Toby) Kinte lost. His most trying moment in America has been trivialized to humor.

lil known fact but squaw(squois) means pussy in french….lets u know exactly what kinda fur the french wanted to trap. Oh and washington redskins? wow thats a horrible one. the american government would pay 10 cents for the scalp of an indian adult and 5 cents for the child. indians didnt scalp anybody that was a european practice. thats y those indians want the name changed.

    @Tony Grand
“The Black & Brown (native americans included) are cut from the same cloth of inequality & capitalist anarchy.” wtf .. Capitalist Anarchy? are you kidding me

“Too bad the machine has us looking @ one another through hate goggles. ”

Stop playin the victim role son. “The Machine” WTF

Stop blamin other people for your own bitchassness.

  8. money mercilesz says:

Victim role? I love that one….ive heard that so many times as a mix of native american african and european blood growing up in america. y do certain people want to deny this countrys history and reality i will never know. its funny now and i just laff at the ignorant however if u do ur research on the buffalo soldiers u will see what Tony Grand is talking about. the same cultural/color divisions went on in my own family so i am definitely not speaking as an outsider or observer but rather an example or instance of what he is talking about.

Mercz, please don’t respond to anonymous commenters. It is from cowardice that people run from their history and the knowledge that their lifestyle is rooted in injustice and exploitation. Why respond to anonymous cowards?

  10. Tony Grands says:

    DP! Money Merc! Whadup!

    @WhatTheFruck

Hilarious moniker btw, in a bad way.

My bitchassness? So, assuming I suffer from said condition, how’s is that relevant to me making a statement in regards to the system of things, much less the well documented history of a nation? Word? Do you read anything besides junior high school issued history books & comic strips?

The fact that two other men know exactly what I’m referring to without expanded explanation let’s me know where your head is, or rather isn’t.

& “the machine”, yes, thats what I said & meant. Grab a dictionary, find the definition(s) of the word then perhaps you’ll see the context in which it was used.

I assume you’re one of the lucky one’s, who’s blood lines have never fell prey to any of Man’s diabolical (even if unintentional) actions to further human kind. Must be nice to be a space alien.

Dallas, Grands whats good? look im gettin old guys and maybe this blog shit doesnt really mean anything but if someone is gonna post propaganda to further their cause of stratification and black concession I gotta write something to make em look stupid. what if a 15 yr old brown kid is readin this idiot….its our duty to show his words have no merit or worth.

  12. Robs says:

    Word Tony Grands

Im from So Cal and always wondered why brown and black beef like they do. Thats what the whites want. Wack whites anyway, lots are cool and all. but for real we keep fuckin with each other like idjits while the white boys stay laughing (and winning) from the sidelines

  13. Tony Grands says:

^^^Word. In no way I’m I implicating all Whites are bad. Matter fact, I feel Merc on the whole native american/euro/african connect. Thats my lineage as well. My great grandparents on my mom side were french men, hardly ever spoke english. Great grands on pop side, barely free slaves & cherokees, so, it’s an inside point of view, as far as the segregation & way thats before it even becomes in-house squabbles between the light skin & the dark skin. So, I’ve seen the operation from 3 POV’s by now.

Yeah, I’m down here too Rob, born & raised. But, thats front line black & brown, where we can be cool as fuck, hanging on the block smoking a sack one second, next second everybody choosing sides ready to ride over some make believe beef that the TV got us thinking is a “race riot” in Chino or some other fictitious conflict.

Seems like it always comes down to the Whites though, because they have that power & authority. Fuck it, if I’m broke & you broke, & we all broke, I’ll be damned if I’m going to blame you for me being broke. We all broke together, feel me? I’m looking for the “source” of my destitution. That crabs in a barrel mind state has caused dudes havoc & despair far too long. & it’s gonna take more than Snoop Dogg & B-Real & doing a song together to help us see what’s really good out here.

  14. Tony Grands says:

    * that should say -“snoop dogg & b-real & -insert native american rapper-*

  15. Tony Grands says:

I wonder if John Wayne & Cary Grant ever attended any Liberace concerts?

  16. Robs says:

^^^ They stayed in the VIP section

Yeah, funny how everybody thought snoop doin a song called vato with b-real was gon stop dudes from actin wreckless
