Caught Between A Rock And A Wall Street…

Everyone’s comparing Occupy Wall Street to the protests in Egypt without understanding that the rich and wealthy in Egypt wanted a regime change so they posited the poor and disenfranchised directly at Mubarak. The rich and wealthy in America DON’T want a regime change over here. They want to keep the status quo popping off in their advantage.

The fact that Americans couldn’t see far enough to fight for their healthcare rights means they definitely won’t grasp that their quality of life has been undermined by our corporate overlords. They’ll continue to find these protestors anti-American or at best a nuisance. In the meantime and in between time someone better take a look at the social security fund.

What’s gonna happen when the police get their pensions pushed back? By then private security firms and ‘contractors’ will be on the job just like they made all the executive decisions in Iraq.

Smarten up NaS.

Your simultaneous corporate brand worship (Polo, Nike, ect ) & “big business” disdain sums up the American experience.

  4. This OccupyWallStreet is becoming all bark and no bite. Americans even protest lazy now. This is more of a minor pestilence than a protest, and knock off all this “police brutality” shit. I saw a homeless dude get mollywhopped by a bunch of cops the other day in broad day light so save me the police brutality of a few pulled punches, getting in the way of scooters, and being down wind of some pepper spray. Also where is the political elements of this “protest” other than being in the park together, I see no other organizational tactics being presented with defined plans of attack or solutions. Welcome to the first armchair revolution people, where people think a hashtag is a being an active protestor, and being shoved by a cop is considered “brutality”. If they are going to organize and rally and really get down to business via the political process or anarchy then get to work as Alprentice “Bunchy” Carter once said “Do something, even if it’s just spit.” Otherwise they ain’t occupying shit, they’re more like hanging out.

The first step for any change is to bring awareness. While I agree I have yet to see any one actually represent an agenda other than ‘this shit sucks’, it must start somewhere.
