Read that study party people, it’s heavy stuff. Here are some of the mind boggling bullet points that I take from this data.
Now with 51% of U.S. homicides belonging to other racial/ethnic demographics and with 7% of Black homicide victims not being cause by racial fratricide I see an opening for Blacks to finally win something in this country. Fuck having a jig president in 2008. How about Blacks locking up all U.S. homicides in their own racial demographic? There’s a shitload of wannabe rappers that can be murdered, and then Blacks should take that 93% Black on Black figure and put in all their effort to move it up to 100%. Giving 100% is a good thing, no?
The largest factor that this study hasn’t considered is the economic background of these victims. I’m sure that greater than 90% lived in economic poverty. This is the prevailing issue that leads to serious crime and violent crime. Will America’s economy and education system improve in my generation in order to stem the tide of crime that poverty engrenders?
Prah’lee not. Considering the fact that we are steamrolling to a recession caused by the banking industry running the flim flam with their lending and accounting practices. Looks like I better go invest in a bullet proof vest.

I always say this to whoever will listen that the white has us beat in every other crime with the exception of merking each other for foolishness. We have to re-learn to value life.
this is fucking sad. i know about all of the barriers faced by black america, and people of color in general, but when i see something like this i can not help but just be terribly, bitterly disappointed. conversely, it makes me feel even better about becoming an educator and hopefully making a difference.

^ Education must be supported by the economy. Capitalism must gain compassion. This data speaks to one thing – poverty. Poverty is the result of a lack of education and conversely a dearth of opportunity.
As long as Blacks continue to kill other Blacks there is little motivation for the collective population in America (read: so-called whites, most from Germany as well) to act on the behalf of the other. By no means do I think that all German Americans are a problem either since I was educated by Lutherans (the closest thing the white Christian religion has to hippies).
Education + Economy are neither mutually exclusive, nor should they be. Evar.
Son as of last week 191 murders in Bmore…more than 80% were black males…mostly ages 16 – 25.

d- your correlation between poverty and lack of education is on-point of course. i was having a discussion with a girl the other night and she was very forcefully pushing for revolution, yet couldn’t for the life of her tell me how it would be mobilized, what the goal was, the simple logistics, who would assume power after the overthrow, etc. She also was pretty smirky when i told her i was studying to be an educator in order to create a difference and perhaps inspire our next generations to be pro-active thinking revolutionaries. One child at a time is not seen to be terribly revolutionary apparently, but how on earth are we supposed to realistically do anything else at this point?
The only way is to keep trying to reach people however you can, on a mass scale and on a one-on-one level.
I have to say though that I always find these stats suspect, not cause they aren’t true but the lack of context. How many homicides are there overall? What is the comparative rate of white on white crime? Heck, what about the rate of white on everybody crime? Were drugs/alcohol/third parties included in those stats? Are those stats based upon conviction rates of criminals (a very suspect place to pull information from)?
On the one hand, a scary clarion call about the work that needs to be done to shore up our constantly under-siege community. On the other hand, given stories like this:
