With the great RICHARD PRYOR firmly entrenched in a trench, and with DAVE CHAPPELLE teetering from being placed in a T.I. purgatory the only entertainment in town to talk to Black people without putting on minstrel gloves is AARON McGRUDERS’ ‘BOONDOCKS‘.
The show has gotten funnier each episode and I like the fact that RILEY will call anyone a nigger.
Now all Cartoon Network has to do is put STROKER & HOOP and SQUIDBILLIES on the set right afterwards.
Sometimes I watch this show and think: “How can this be so fucking good?” On cable TV, the Cosby Show reruns still dominate so this is definitely a ground breaking program and one of my cartoon staples. Additionally, does anybody else think this thing might be better than the comic strip? I always found the strip to be a little bit melancholy but the show pops without one bit of drag or heavy handedness . . . kind of like Seinfeld without the uncomfortable feeling of having to watch the supporting characters hoist Jerry over their back and carry him to the funny.
I wasn’t feeling the show at first but I am watching it now regularly. It’s humor reminds me of when South Park was in their second or third season because it is so fuckin’ wrong sometimes.
I love watching the boondocks every sunday and is so freaking cool see yaw
This show is one of the best out of the shows that they have on cable it is real funny especially the first episode.

This is the hottest cartoon out. Adult Swim did justice in putting it on the air. I was reading the strips back in 2004 and I never thought the artist would take it further, but wished he would….Congrats to him and to the Cast because the Voices..and I could tell ya their names if I wasn’t typing I bet, lol. But They make it the BEST SHOW period airing…Can’t wait until the new EPS
This is the best cartoon on TV. I am dying to see the second season… I have turned all my friends onto the show and they are now hooked. Perfect casting of every person on the show… Keep up the good work Aaron G.
