Way back in April we found out that Kid Cudi was gonna be that new-new. If you didn’t believe me then maybe his stints on the ‘808s & Heartbreak’ album convinced you.
Featured below is the Crookers Remix for ‘Day N’ Nite’ I use to get my iNternets Celebrities workout on. Unfortunately for me, the i.C. workout is only jogging through the McDonald’s parking lot to buy a Futuristic Brunch.
what up rasheed wallace just wanted to say hi. that’s your new name smell me.
I enjoyed that.
I highly reccomend the “A Kid Named Cudi” mixtape.
A top 5 mixtape in 08 for sure.
i don’t know. i liked “a kid named cudi” as much as the next loser whose sense of what’s good has become totally confused by the quality drought and the internet. im a little concerned with the rapidity of his rise to stardom, though — he looks a little too self-assured for someone who hasn’t put out an album, like he’s beyond being swaggerific or whatever tripe and has gone straight to not really giving a fuck. maybe im wrong. im on page 13 of 20 of a seminar paper, and my brain is melting.
I haven’t picked up that attitude from him. Truthfully, he is pretty normal and laid back for a guy who is being pushed up to the top tier of the music industry.
Was at the Mark Ronson party during CMJ and I couldn’t remember the name of the track of his that I love. It was a funny scene because he said the name of the track and I was like, ‘Nah, that’s not it.” He patiently waited for me to recall the name and I stuttered about like a retard (I had been going in hard on the free booze at an earlier event).
For putting up with my shit you need to be chill city and self-effacing. Dude is both.
that was reasonable of him, for sure.
a Kid Named Cudi = mixtape of the year
