I was type frosty on the PoloRL Wimbledon collection this year simply because I haven’t really aced an outfit yet from the series.

The pieces are mmm-kay. Nothing too crazy which is prA’Li due to the games being played in England and British swag generaly being more bland than everything else. Still I saw a couple of I.T.’s I might would consider if the fLOurishments presented themselves…

The ballboy jacket and the crewneck sweatshirt are both clean and sharp at the same time. Now if only there were some kicks that would fux with these pieces.

Oh snap!!! adidas did the damn thing and dropped some tennis shoes to pay homage to the matches at Wimbledon. Well played adidas. Well played.

And by well played I mean the Rod Laver. Leather upper and suede toe cap? I know my man Dirty Jerz is copping two(2) pairs minimum. THIS is a championship Rod Laver.

By the way adidas, I’ma pretend you didn’t put this Forest Hills into the Wimbledon pack since this shoe clearly belongs in a U.S. Open pack.

Maybe next year adidas drops a ‘Grand Slam’ pack with the Rod Laver, Stan Smith, Forest Hills and Grand Prix styles? How about it adidas?

champion-reverseweave

The Champion Reverse-Weave sweatshirt is an iconic piece of apparel because it resonated across a broad spectrum of lifestyles. Collegiate kids rocked the reverse-weave emblazoned with a screen print of their university. Kids in the ‘hood rocked the conehead to represent the school of hard knocks.

I’m begging my connect at the brand to seed me with a couple of reverse-weave pieces so I can add those icons to my repertoire.

In the meantime and in between time I have this camo varsity for a cold spring evening.

The Air Jordan 2012 Deluxe is one of the criminally slept on sneakers. Not slept on by myself or you folks who follow this page.

I’m looking out for Champion to return to the podium in 2014. I’ll keep you posted if I see any pieces.

Happy orthodox Easter Internets! All praises due to Unkut dot com for bringing this website back from the dead again.

Pictured above is a vest I copped in Macy’s on a super sale Saturday for $52 after all my coupon shenanigans. Even tho’ this isn’t one of the Peak models with the detachable hood the shell on this piece is 200x better. Pictures rarely tell you the full story. You have to put a piece of clothing in your hand and on your back to truly understand how well it’s been made.

With that being said I will try to show you some acquisitions that I’m really proud of because they are well made and detailed down. I’m all about my RL pants pickups right about now. These cargos I turned inside out were from the #Str8fLOurishments of PoloG8…

The best detail on these pants is the cinch at the ankle which is inside the hem. The pants are a slim-fit (I should have bought in w44 or w46) for that tapered look which is back in flavor right now. Do you see all the buttons for braces? These are so thigh they don’t need any braces. LOL

These next pants are some joints I was scoping with a laserbeam and I still almost lost them. They are the black version of the Defender pant but with more fiyahverkx added on.

Drawstring waist, cargo side pockets and fancy zip pockets.

Jogger pants style jersey knit ribbing at the ankles.

I just got wind there is a cotton cargo pant similar to this with no Union Jack flag on the side. Let me know if you see them any wear. All my spots appear to be flush out of these and those.

A few years ago Premium Pete was promoting an all-ScotchLite (3M) Foamposite. Nike peeped the concept, took the idea and put it on Pete’s all-time favorite Air Jordan silhouette: The III
