The Kobe 7 Systems are so nice I had to make a video about them.
Twice.
The Mets have lost some of that early season swag they had found in May but getting swept in their second consecutive weekend series. If the Mets played all their games during the week they might have the best record in the bigs.
The Reds kept the Mets in check with good defense and precision pitching, but the Mets didn’t help their cause either by leaving men in scoring position stranded on base all game. This week the second place Orioles and first place Yankees come out to CitiField.
I’m not gonna say that we miss Jose Reyes, but we do miss his dreads.
The real story in the NBA Finals for sneaker heads is which shoe is better, the Lebron 9 or the KD4?
— DALLAS PENN (@Dallas_Penn) June 10, 2012
The OKC Thunder have taken the first contest in the Association’s tournament finale but the real showdown is between the signature shoes of each team’s star players.
In one corner we have the KD IV, Kevin Durant’s sneaker. The best thing I have to say about the KD’s is how Kevin Durant demanded that Nike create a shoe with an accessible pricepoint. The KD’s retail for $95 and that is almost half the going rate for most sneakers in this hypebeast era.
In the other corner we have the Lebron 9. This is the first Lebron signature shoe I have purchased. What attracted me to the shoe was the instep sculpting. I love the way the arch is supported by the carbon fiber plate underneath.
The Lebron and KD shoes come in a bevy of colorways so it’s gonna be hard to pick which shoe shall reign supreme.
The KDIV ‘Nerf’ was a hypebeast favorite. The shoes came in a box with a Nerf sponge basketball and rim. Pictured directly above is the KDIV ‘Weatherman’ which most sneaker heads slept on at first.
The Lebron 9 ‘Cannon’ is my first Lebron shoe (that I paid for). Full Disclosure: FootLocker gave me the ‘Free Gums’ back during their Hottest Month Ever peomotion.
The KDIV ‘Year Of The Dragon’ edition is part of the 2012 Year Of The Dragon pack. I’m secretly looking for the Kobe 7 YOTDs
I just bought these Lebron 9 ‘China’ off eBay and I swear if they are bondooloo I’m gonna rampage. LOL
I’ve been shooting so much video I haven’t had the chance to really drop any decent blog posts. I’ll make up for that this afternoon tho’ while I sit here at the editing console all day.
Hopefully our Metropolitans can avoid the sweep at Junkie Stadium in the Bronx.
I don’t have the Yeezy’s but I have something I wanted even more (pics soon come) and wait til you see the footage from the Yeezy 2 campouts. #WhereAreYouYeezy?!? LOL
Speaking of sneakers… Lebron James and the Miami Heat are in the final round of the Association’s post-season tournament and they will face off with Kevin Durant and his Thunder. The real question tho’ is who has the better signature shoe? LBJ or KD?
Stay logged on because I’m gonna go thru my list of FREE shit popping off this week in NYC. Obamas (open bars) included.

The first road team win in the conference finals of the Association tourney goes to the OKC Thunder who housebroke the indomitable San Antonio Spurs in the venerable Alamo Dome where the Spurs had been on a 16game win streak.
The Thunder led by Durant, Westbrook and Harden outlasted the Spurs in a hardfought contest.
Closing out the Spurs in OKC has to be a priority for the Thunder because a return to San Antonio will be a level of pressure that only veteran players can withstand.
These Spurs have played this season like a team for the ages but it will be all for naught if Kevin Durant channels his alter-ego Silky Jenkins in game 6.
