UNBREAKABLE!

Monday, May 28th, 2012

The San Antonio Spurs were too old to compete two seasons ago. The same team core now looks unstoppable on their march to the NBA Finals trophy.

The balding Manu Ginobili, the gimpy old man Tim Duncan and the happily divorced Tony Parker haven’t lost a basketball game in over a month?!

The only team I thought might offer a challenge would be the young and powerful Oklahoma City Thunder with their speed and their length [ll], but even the Thunder appeared outmatched in the late minutes of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. We might as well give the Spurs the Larry O’Brien trophy now so I can turn all my attention to the Mets and Major League Baseball.

ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT SNEAKERS…

Sunday, May 27th, 2012

I felt real blah on Thursday so I came str8 home from the dayjob. Maybe it was all the rain that fell this week but I had no fuel in my tank for this holiday weekend. That was until I saw this box at my door from adidas Originals. They threw me a Knicks warmup and a fitted cap.

You couldn’t tell me that the homey from adidas hadn’t seen that I have these Altitude Hi’s in my archives and he sent me the jacket directly for that!? That wasn’t the case since everyone in NYC who is part of the seeding program got the jacket, but at least I can rest with the knowledge that no one else had the Knicks kicks on deck.

Remembering The DUNK…

Friday, May 25th, 2012

Could it have all been so simple then?

The Knicks faced the Chicago Bulls in the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals and with less than a minute in the game John Starks became NYC’s eternal godson by raising up and punctuating the Knick victory with a dunk heard ’round the NBA world.

The Knicks would ultimately lose the series in 7 games to Michael Jordan and the Bulls, but at least we have a moment in time no other player can claim. We saw his Airness getting shit throwed on his head in the post-season. LOLOLOLOL

Iceberg Slim Rockin’ Rims In The Suburbs…

Kevin Durant is a str8 up cold-blooded assassin. He and Russell Westbrook powered the OKC Thunder past the Lakers to put a stranglehold on their Western conference divisional series.

It’s about to be the Spurs and the Thunder to determine which of these teams gets the NBA ‘chip this season. I don’t think anyone from the East is gonna be comp for either of these squads.
