The zenith of aspirations inside of the sneaker culture is the Air Jordan brand. Artists and designers are still inspired to create new designs for the brand despite the fact that the player who made these shoes famous has long since retired from p[laying basketball in the shoes.
In the early days of Air Jordan hype it was reported that people would be willing to kill someone to acquire a pair. There should be a salute to the marketers of these shoes that even after a quarter of a century people are still believing the hype.
Shout out to the editor of that nightly news clip. Too bad NYC doesn’t get as buckwild as Humble, Texas. I guess that’s cause most people in NYC stopped believing the hype.
