Get Ready For Brisket…

Wednesday, June 27th, 2012

The special guests for this week’s Combat jack Show podcast will be Meyhem Lauren, producer Harry Fraud and AG da Coroner (from various Outdoormen projects).

Here’s a sample of what Meyhem and Harry have been cooking up with their collabo project ‘Respect The Fly Shit’ dropping on Thursday…

Meyhem Lauren, Action Bronson, AG da Coroner – ‘BBQ Brisket’

And here’s a look at the tracklist for ‘Respect The Fly Shit’

There’s plenty of Outdoorsmen flavor with features from all of my favorite rappers like Sean Price, Roc Marciano and Himanshu from Das Racist. Meyhem Lauren is the artist who got hot after simmering in the pot with a low and steady fire.

You are gonna fux with this dude one day soon. Word to Robbie from UnKut.

Swag Central Station…

Tuesday, June 26th, 2012

I stopped by the homey H spot on Steinway Street called Poleberg. You might have seen’t the SFU video I posted from there a few weeks ago. Anyhoo, I wanted a chapeau to top off my Air Jordan 2012s as well as some other ‘fits I’ve been building.

Poleberg has literally thousands of pro model and snapback style New Era caps. I went with the limited edition “Gino Cafarelli” Florida Marlins joint which also has glow in the dark threading. They only produced 50 of these caps and I’m holding #27 so that means more than half are in the hands of other swagadocious collectors like myself.

The Alchemist: ‘Crushed Kremlin’

Saturday, June 23rd, 2012

We’re gonna get into this leaked Alchemist project this weekend titled ‘Russian Roulette’. There are loads of features on the album and the Outdoorsmen are figuring prominently on the project.

Here’s a little clip I posted from a track with Meyhem Lauren dropping a guest verse. As always dude comes super hard [ll].

The Doppelgangaz: Beats For Brothels v.2

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012

The black cloak gang is back with this Beats For Brothels 2.0 project. It’s more of those trance rap tracks with the laid back lyrics they love to spit. If there was ever a group who could restart the Tribe vibe it would be The Doppelgangaz. When I say Tribe vibe I’m just talking about music that makes you want to put your headphones on and take a walk thru the city on a quest for kicks, for gear, or for whatever you like.

I can’t say enough good things about the Doppelgangaz. Stream their new project and catch the DPGZ wave with me.

The Doppelgangaz: Beats For Brothels vol. 2

‘What Am I’
I posted the video for this track here a few weeks ago. This is one of those joints that I play several times a week because the groove is sharp and the rhymes are tight. What Am I is one of my favorite joints for 2012 (and beyond).

‘Schemes’
Here’s another joint that shows how sick the Dopp can get behind the boards. If this ain’t your type of rap then I don’t even want to know your name so don’t waste my bandwidth with your inane comments.

‘D.Flutie’
I’m not even mad at the Dopp for this joint. I was sure it was gonna be like so many other rappers who title a song after an nostalgic athlete but this joint ended up being an instrumental. With some flute solos. LMFBAO. Thank you Doppelgangaz for NOT being like anyone else.

HARK!
