What do you say when the queen passes away?
I hope she gets her due at long last. Her voice was raw beautiful power. The heir to Diana Ross’ pop music princess throne Whitney never really got her castle or her crown.
Long live the queen!
Enter The Dragon…
The Air Jordan 2012 is killing the game with the Year Of The Dragon release. First of all, the 2012 system is official tissue. The sneakers have three(3) different cushioned insloes and two(2) separate comfort sockliners. Then there’s the colorway of the AJ 2012 ‘Year Of The Dragon’ outer shell. FIYAHVERKX!!!
Okay, so allow me to break down the Air Jordan 2012 system to you…
The packaging is incredible. It really allows you to appreciate all the design work which goes into creating these shoes. You can see the consideration which went into this shoe from day one.
The theme of this sneaker system is that you get to choose your own flight, meaning you chose the comfort and performance level you want to have while wearing the shoes.
Three(3) different insoles for three distinct types of play.
Fly Around – Quick and low to the ground. Zoom Air heel unit.
Fly Over – Above the rim play. Zoom Air heel and Max Air forefoot unit.
Fly Through – Total Max Air insole for maximum cushioning.
After you choose your insole you have to select a sockliner. Hightop or low?
I prefer the hightop sockliner for the extra added ankle support.
You could almost wear the insoles and the sockliners without added the external shell but that is the last layer of structure and support in this shoe system.
The outer shell also has the POPP! -(c) SamColt12
Jordan Brand developed a shoe which even trumps the Kobe Bryant VII Supreme system. The feel was supportive without being too tight. A footglove possibly? Too bad that Gary Payton is retired now. He would have loved these kicks.
I’m entering the ranks of the SHOEMINATI. It’s a sneaker fiend secret society. We get invited to play basketball on the floor of Madison Square Garden, or maybe even chit chat with iconic shoe designers like Tinker Hatfield.
In this episode of S.F.U. we attend the initial flight of the Air Jordan 2012.
Just before the Knicks season totally hits the skids Coach Mike D’Antoni reached out one last desperate time.
You know dude was desperate since he was tabbing the end of the bench for the undrafted Ivy league point guard Jeremy Lin.
Lin usually makes his appearances when the games are pretty much already in the loss column for the Knicks, but not lastnite… Instead he carried the Knicks above the threshold of absolute mediocrity the Nets are mired in. With his points, assists and rebounds Lin might just have put himself in the starting line up?
Ha!
