POLITRICKS 2008: The Incredible Internets C.R.E.A.M. Team…

obaama

One thing I have wondered about all through the the process of the 2008 presidential campaign is how the hell BARACK OBAAMA raised as much money as he does. I don’t know a single person who has contributed money to his campaign (or any other candidates for that matter). I imagine that the money still comes from large corporations.

This article I link here from the Atlantic monthly says that BARACK OBAAMA’s C.R.E.A.M. Team (campaign fundraising staff from JOHN KERRY’s campaign) are the reason that he has been able to outpace the venerable and popular CLINTONS when it comes to getting his paper up.

The Amazing Money Machine

The Atlantic claims that OBAAMA’s monies are from the newly minted Silicon Valley constituency and similar bases of wealth who feel disenfranchised by the CLINTON and McCAIN platforms. OBAAMA’s message of hope has these people pulling out their wallets better than the most sincere traveling preacher I have ever seen.

And it wasn’t just their pocketbooks that people are offering claims the Atlantic, but their technical skills as well. OBAAMA is said to have been the candidate to make the best use of today’s internets technology. I wonder if the writer was considering the YouTube hit ‘Obaama Girl’ as part of BARACK’s strategy?

Political campaigns always turn on the dollar and the spin that OBAAMA is receiving says that he has returned politics back into the hands of the people and away from the corporations, but ultimately aren’t these people paid by the corporations? If I had $2300 and a choice between earmarking that money for a political campaign or taking my lady on a first class trip to Rome I think you know which way I am going.

THE IRON MAN EFFECT…

iron man

Now that the lustre of the ‘Iron Man’ movie has worn off I can delve into some of the subtext that I encountered in the film. What was interesting to me was how this film openly expressed the all too cozy nature that our government has with the military industrial complex and how arms dealers can comfortably trade weaponry with nations states and political actors no matter who those weapons might be trained against the following morning.

Stark Industries was for all practical purposes General Electric. We regard G.E. mostly as a company that manufactures washing machines and benign lightbulbs, but the big profit for G.E. over the last decade has been in their tactical weapons manufacturing. The domestic appliance division is doing so bad that their CEO is looking to sell off the entire operation. It makes all the sense to sell to the Asians since that is where the customer service call center is located anyhoo.

In the ‘Iron Man’ movie when Tony Stark, the fictional CEO of Stark Industries decides that his company will only manufacture domestically beneficial goods the company’s stock fell through the floor. Why is death and destruction so profitable? This is where Hollyweird gives us an actual glimpse into the world we live in. Weapons contractors have an incredible sway over our military and they don’t have to play by any of the rules of engagement. We tumble along headlong towards the precipice where the real bad guys will have the real good guns.

Shitgotdamn if we aren’t there now.

Don’t ever forget that U.S. manufacturers armed the Iraqi government. Everybody on this side that works in the Pentagon and has an info clearance tag worth a damn can tell you the exact amount of bullets that we have shipped to them. When we went looking for WMD we did it as the repo man. Even if the arms were outdated, and they were, we still didn’t want them falling into the wrong hands. Meaning, people that didn’t pay for them.

You have taken note of some of the shipments of arms and supplies sent to Iraq that have gone missing? In all my life I have never seen white just shrug his shoulders when shit goes missing. Nope, he goes in there and gets his shit that was stolen and prA’li takes some shit for himself. Just because. The real story of Iron Man is about people so greedy and without morality that they would sell arms to someone just to try out their latest weapon in order to take their guns and bombs back.

These are the children of the same dudes that brokered land treaties with the native Americans. Since when do you think they have anytime to care about anything but money? ‘Iron Man’ was the fantasy that a man could rise above the code of greed embedded into his DNA after generations.

G DUBBZ Is Still Running From Responsibility…

g dubbz

Can’t keep running away…

With only a little over six months left to his dual (duel) term presidency you would think that G DUBBZ would be busy trying to nail down some credibility for the legacy of his administration. Instead all you can see is the unraveling of a political machine that was jury-rigged from the word go.

I laugh to keep from crying when I learn how cynical and manipulating this administration truly is. The taped recording of an off-the-record luncheon with Pentagon officials that was attended by former Secretary of Defense DONALD RUMSFELD is the latest in a long string of incidents that demonstrates how much disregard and contempt this administration has for the American public.

The recording also shows how very ill-prepared these leaders were in their plans to overthrow the regime of SADDAM HUSSEIN. At the end of the day HUSSEIN is exactly the leader that Iraq needed to re-stabilize itself after the foreign occupation and civil war.

Who knew?

Plenty of people knew the deal and this administration actively sought to silence their dissenting views.

CLEVELAND, HERE I COME…

Chocolate Snowflake is constantly asking me to reconsider staying in New York. There are tons of cities all around America that are building up, and even re-building, and could use the talents and skillsets of a construction project manager. I like Phoenix a lot. Even though I have only been to the airport I still imagine that I would love to live in Arizona. Despite the fact they are reputedly virulent racists. Hey, this is AmeriKKKa isn’t it?

I hadn’t really considered anywhere in Ohio since its pretty much understood that Ohio is a drive-thru state. Most people simply drive-thru Ohio to get to places like Chicago and even Detroit. That has to be a pretty good qualifier this is a state which is fucked the fuck up when people would rather be in Detroit. I’m starting to reconsider my thinking about Ohio, particularly Cleveland. Take a look at this news story about some dude literally having the pants beaten off his ass…

Fatal beating unnerves Cleveland neighborhood

Please read that article and find the part where the City Councilman says that the gang has sent word that anyone who speaks to the police “will face retribution”. What the peanut butter and jelly town has a councilman who works as an emissary for the local gang? I don’t doubt that the gang is superbadass, but when you have a councilman presenting your depravity as a warning to the rest of the city you are asking for the Feds to come through your town Waco style.

After the Feds get involved and start clearing this ‘burg up there will be tons more housing rehab opportunities available for those who want to work. the prices for houses in the neighborhood where dude was merc’ked sound pretty affordable too. Elderly lower working class residents living off their social security checks and medi-caid will be dying off soon. Buy their houses with cash and tell them to move the fuck to Atlanta or wherever elderly colored folks go to fade to black.

Dr. ALBERT HOFMANN was the man who discovered the psychotropic properties of the chemical compound he created called lysergic acid diethylamide. For all of us layman that’s simply LSD. I salute this man who lived for over one hundred years, but finally crossed over to the other side on April 29th. I have had some incredible moments when I was high on acid.

For those times I thank the good doctor. And my connect in East Harlem on Lex.

The checkered history of LSD is a great study in how the pharmaceutical industrial complex controls our government along with Big Oil, Big Labor (prison industrial complex), and Big Guns (weapons industrial complex). LSD, when properly administered was an effective treatment for several mental medical conditions. It has been revealed that the CIA performed clandestine experiments with LSD throughout the 1950’s up into the 1970’s. The problem with LSD was that unlike heroin and later crack cocaine, the addicts became less prone to violence against others.

The CIA prefers the car-window smashing depravity of the crackhead I suppose.

LSD and acid are firmly entrenched in our collective psyches as the narcotics for hippies and other 1960’s counter-culture platitudes, but the real benefit of the drug is that it was used as a cure for alcoholism. Its greatest achievement doomed its success here in America where we create thousands of alcoholics on a daily basis. Any drug that stops you from spending your money is not viewed as a good (read: profitable) drug.

I think I may have to go in for a hit one last time.

PrA’li before I peep the new Batman movie.

Dr. HOFMANN would have done it.
