Thursday, October 11th, 2012

I need to rock my late pass when I meet the Arch Druids.

This beat is FIYAHVERKX!!!

Roc Marciano is steady with the hardbody soundscapes.

This music video is making me want to make music videos. High art is inspirational like that.

MarQ Spekt: Danger

Friday, October 5th, 2012

MarQ Spekt takes a turn at directing a music video for one of his tracks from the MacheteVision project and dude makes what I call a classic Hip-Hop video.

I love ‘Spekt’s imagery of the NYC streets, structures, graffiti and gangsters. This is an AWESOME video. Watch it several times.

The ICs Present… Cuffing Season

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

The autumnal season brings all sorts of familiar and favorable things to mind. The changing colors of tree leaves. Pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Christmas music being played in department stores. Monday Night Football. And another sport altogether… Cuffing Season.

The hot “skin was showing” summer was jumpoff season, with casual hookups as far as the eye could see. But as summer winds down to a close it’s in our very nature to begin preparations for the cold months ahead. The high holidays are meant to be spent with loved ones, or at least a warm body. Join the Internets Celebrities on a field assignment to find out if Cuffing Season is real.

DJ Franchise: Futurized Funk…

Saturday, September 29th, 2012

Our Bay area big homey DJ Franchise drops off a mixtape in honor of his fallen comrade DJ Matthew Africa he has titled ‘Futurized Funk’…

Widely known for his influential musical presence with B.I.G.’s “Ready to Die”, Easy Mo Bee brought a futurized funk to hip-hop/soul that has not been paralleled. His work with so many greats (Biggie, Busta, Kane, Miles Davis) still demands to be recognized. This mix helps serve that purpose.

Dedicated to and inspired by my good friend, Matthew Africa (RIP)
