I hit the streets for the first ever midnight run on Black Friday. In my lifetime alone we’ve gone from 10am to 8am to 6am to 4am ‘Door Buster Specials’ and now that capitalism is on its last legs they’ve decided to send in the hounds starting at 12am.
Black Friday also coincides with the time of the year when Nike really wants to turn those pants pockets into rabbit ears. If Jordan was a fourth quarter assassin then the Nike brand is the 4th quarter blitzreig. The first salvo were the Black Cements and the Tim Duncan Foamposites. The final bomb before Christmas will be the Air Jordan ‘Concords‘.
