Respect The Dread…

Monday, June 18th, 2012

The Mets have lost some of that early season swag they had found in May but getting swept in their second consecutive weekend series. If the Mets played all their games during the week they might have the best record in the bigs.

The Reds kept the Mets in check with good defense and precision pitching, but the Mets didn’t help their cause either by leaving men in scoring position stranded on base all game. This week the second place Orioles and first place Yankees come out to CitiField.

I’m not gonna say that we miss Jose Reyes, but we do miss his dreads.

I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz for this group called Children Of The Night.

Their video ‘Kids From Queens’ is a paean to the true boro of kings.

Ratchet Rap Star Real Talk…

Wednesday, June 13th, 2012

I just peeped these videos from Vice.com music portal called Noisey. They do dope shit over there if you ain’t know. They have a video series called Bark & Forth which has two(2) artists just ask each other random questions but the fact the artists have a rapport means the questions can get wildly intimate, and in the case of Detroit’s Danny Brown and Harlem’s A$AP Rocky wildly ratchet.
