The key for the Knicks to record their ninth straight win against the surging Celtics will begin and end with Raymond Felton’s battle with Rajon Rondo. A’Mare Stoudemire and Kevin Garnett should cancel each other out. The combination of Wilson Chandler and Landry Fields should contain Paul Pierce from going full retard. I’m not worried about Ray Allen going ham either. This game tilts on the hands of the best point guard in the Association and the hottest PG over the past two weeks.
Rondo doesn’t get intimidated either but he does turn the ball over in transition. If the Knickerbockers can keep the tempo at a high rate of speed the Celtics will get sloppy with the rock. The game has to be a track meet with the Knicks forcing the older legs of the Celtics to maintain a breakneck pace. That’s how the Lakers ran over the Celtics last June, but Rondo was still a problem child. Kobe dealt with him by forcing turnovers.
Raymond Felton needs to become Kobeyashi.
