J.Period produced this hard times street anthem anthem featuring Black Thought, Rakim, John Legend and the Boys Choir of Harlem, I think.
Nobody is smiling in the ghetto.

P was telling me to look out for this kid coming out of Camden, NJ and now with this video I can clearly see the vision.
The track is called ‘Struggle No More’.
Meyhem Lauren and Maffew Ragazino put some visuals in front of their collab track ‘Even More Butter’.
It’s going down tomorrow RIGHT NOW!
The debut of Meyhem Lauren’s first studio album ‘Self-Induced Illness‘ is up on iTunes.
The album is a landmark to classic NYC Hip-Hop with anthems to graffiti, getting fly and general street life. “Self-Induced Illness’ is over forty tracks deep with new songs and a few of the greatest Meyhem Lauren joints. You can replace all of your various Meyhem Lauren one offs with a copy of ‘Self-Induced’.
Here’s a snippet from the album with tracks produced by J-Love, PF Cuttin, Thorotracks, Nickelplated and more…

Hip-Hop is usually a euphemism for a bunch of sweaty dudes in a room looking at one another [ll]. Extra [ll] actually. Even when you hear ladies spit it’s still aggressive and threatening. No one remembers the LL Cool J who could be ‘BAD’ and still need love.
‘Fresh’
‘Point Of View’
‘Love Is War’
Torae’s ‘Heart Failure’ EP is like charting love thru the eyes of an emcee. First you have to seduce a bitch. Then you fuck the shit out of her. After that you go back to the studio to make more hits, but the bitch swears you on the streets seducing other ho’s. Y’all argue. You cut that bitch off but then you realize that she had some bomb ass pussy so you apologize to her. Then you realize that she is a crazy bitch and you are better off alone so you go back to the studio to make more ‘punch people in the mouf’ music.
Okay, that is a simplistic overview of the EP, but don’t front if you can relate. I’m fuxing with this EP for Valentine’s Day because I know exactly the place in his heart Torae is rapping from.
