I was fortunate enough to catch the final game of another mediocre Mets season via a hookup from the league. I’m still a fan of the game despite the fact that greedy owners hold communities hostage with their ransom demands on taxpayers and I’m still a Mets fan despite the fact the team is comprised of the lower tier of players.
For this episode we have a special guest director – Isaiah. He’s my nephew. He lives in Corona Queens, the neighborhood where my brother and I grew up. Truth be told is that Isaiah enjoyed toy shopping at A.J.Wright more than the ballgame. I can’t say I blame him either. Mets lost 2-1 in 14 innings. They were held in check by the ageless Livan Hernandez.
Next year begins now for the Mets. Can we trade David Wright and Jose Reyes in a package deal?
That will be one question out of many for the new general manager to answer.
