As I’ve told you a thousand times, Polo Ralph Lauren is built around the aspiration for wealth that Ralph Lifschitz internalized as a child growing up to working class parents in the Bronx. Polo has taken on a life and legend of it’s own and that legend continues to grow as the brand attaches itself to the benchmarks of high society.
There is no organized sport older than the regatta and the oldest trophy in the sport of sailing belongs to the America’s Cup race. Sailors and seamen [ll] from all over the world compete for the prized chalice aboard multi-million dollar yachts. If you thought taking care of a stable of polo ponies was expensive then you ain’t built for the America’s Cup.
To pay his respect to this classic gentleman’s sport Polo Ralph Lauren is releasing a series of knits that will set the summer off right.
I’m trying to choose which one(s) will find their way into my archive.
I also just peeped this red/blue colorblocked regatta knit. FIYAHVERKS!!!
Ralph Lauren jacked my patch swag but I ain’t mad.
If you ever have a good idea make sure you have another one.
