Gotye: Somebody That I Used To Know

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

I haven’t been able to turn this Gotye song off in my brain for the past month. It sounds like Sting and Enya yelling at each other.

It’s not the lyrics but the beat that I love so much. And the hook just makes me feel like this would be the dopest ‘Grown Man Rap’ breakup song.

So here’s the plan… I reach out to Sean Price, Dice Raw and Black Thought’s people (all via TWitter) and ask them all to fux with the instrumental version.

The second part of my fiendish rap plan is to get Rah Digga in the middle of this ‘Grown Man Rap’ track. This shit is about to be cataclysmic. Just imagine for a second, Sean Price, Dice Raw, Rah Digga and Black Thought on this joint. Yeah, you just creamed yourself [ll]. I did too.

*Burnout Update*

Internets, this is why you should NOT do drugs. I BEEN listening to this track since Dice Raw smashed it way back in January as his ‘Game Of Thrones’ freestyle. Duhhhh!

Show Me The CatFax…

This video is funny but when you get to my age you realize that a vagina is more like a baseball mitt.

The more fingers that have been inside of it the softer it becomes and that way it catches balls better.

The NFL Enters A New Era…

Saturday, April 21st, 2012

Since the 1950s New Era has been the official ‘on-field’ hat for Major League Baseball. When I first got into collecting New Era caps we didn’t call them ‘fitteds’. They were called ‘Pro Caps’ since the only other people with these joints were the professionals who worked in them.

New Era just became the official ‘on-field’ cap for the National Football League. To celebrate their achievement New Era is releasing a series of their classic 59Fifty Draft Day caps with the team cities embroidered on the front of the crown and team logos on the side. The caps come in a box that resembles a formula from the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability test. LOL.

The draftees will wear this cap on the podium this Thursday as the NFL draft gets underway. I wonder who will wear this Buffalo cap on Thursday, Michael Floyd or Riley Reiff?

I can tell you who will be wearing this Dallas cap. Me.

Chariots Of Fire Lifestyle…

Friday, April 20th, 2012

Polo Ralph Lauren’s aspirations for combining the imagined gentility of European and American nostalgia will reach its logical zenith at the 2012 London Olympiad.

Taking the design cues from the flapper days of the 1920s and coincidentally the last time the Olympics were played in London (1924), the ultimate Americana fashion label will be supplying the uniforms for the USA athletes.

The newsboy caps are pretty dope but the sickest I.T. in this series might be the sunglasses.

Of course there are sweatshirts and short sleeved knits on tap which are must cops for all of us intent on living the ‘Lo lifestyle.

This run isn’t matching the intensity of the 1992 games series of clothing which remains top acquisition status on most collector’s holy grail lists. Still, there are pieces in this run that will rep the lifestyle for you in years to come.

I wonder if the Dan and Dave ‘Chariots Of Fire’ tees will be retro’d for these Summer Games?

SNEAKER FIENDS UNITE!

Friday, April 20th, 2012

The most anticipated Air Jordan release for me this year is the ‘Olympic’ VI retros dropping to coincide with the Londontown Olympiad.

First of all, the VI is the shoe which Jordan rocked for his first championship run so that right there should end all arguments, but the white and navy leather rocks so hard with so much of my lifestyle program it’s not even funny.

I’ll definitely be lining up for these in July. HARDBODY!
