When you factor in box office receipts and add to that the fact that this movie has an actual story you should recognize that this is no stretch of my imagination.
I am just sad that Marvel is considering ending the ‘X-Men’ movie series. Even blockbuster movies ain’t making the scrilla they used to since the internets came on the scene, but I would still rather see ‘X-Men 3’ or ‘Revenge of the Sith’ on a big screen than sitting here on my Herman Miller aeron chair.
The thing I hate the most about the NBA Playoffs is when I have to listen to the post-game analysis from EARVIN JOHNSON. It’s like hearing Uncle Remus on prime time television. It wouldn’t upset me so much if EARVIN came into the studio dressed in cut up overalls and a straw hat.
JOHNSON is one of America’s wealthiest Black men yet with all of his money he refuses to hire a speech therapist. For crying out loud, EARVIN gives people lectures on managing their money. I wonder if he’s accompanied by a banjo player?
There’s no banjo or washboard inside the Turner network studios. Instead we have to watch EARVIN butcher the English language when he stammers and stutters through polysyllabic words. I like MAGIC (nullus) and he was certainly one of the greatest players in the history of the Association, but there are tons of players that were capable on the court and can give a listenable, cogent breakdown of what is happening on the basketball court. When I have to listen to MAGIC and BARKLEY on the same telecast I lose my fucking mind.
The Durham District Attorney puts his career on the line tomorow if he charges another Duke lacrosse player with rape, assault and kidnapping. It’s not like MIKE NIFONG’s political career wasn’t already tied to this case, but with a third indictment he seeks the rarest of natural hat tricks. In the history of America there have never been privileged males convicted of sexually assaulting a Black woman.
I give D.A. NIFONG some credit too for having the ballsacks (no b.b.) to prosecute this case since the alleged victim had thirteen years previously been the accuser of three men for, guess what… Rape. TAWANA BRAWLEY is smiling somewhere at the realization that she isn’t alone.

Start Snitching sparked a nice little debate when he compared Apple Computers newest laptop to the latest offering from Dell Computers. It turns out that you are paying nearly $2000 more dollars to look like a hipster with the pretty Apple laptop.
The question arose why would Apple charge so much for their products when the company boasts of their accessibility and their anti-elitist, anti-monopoly anti-trust operating system. What if Apple set their price points to prevent Coloreds from purchasing their products. Also the fact that they are manufactured in a white casing makes me believe that Apple doesn’t care about Black people.
Sure STEVE JOBS wears a black shirt with his jeans and yeah, the Apple Computer Corp. hire Blacks to drive their parking lot shuttle buses, but where are the Black computer engineers? Where are the Black people working at the Apple retail store?
“Hey STEVE JOBS, how come there are no brothers on the wall?”
Actually, Apple Computers took the lead by using Black people with their iconography. JACKIE ROBINSON was a real winner. Then MicroSoft trumped Apple by buying a shitload of MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. photos, but I suppose Apple deserves some credit for using MALCOLM X. Nahh, they were just being trendy. I guess it must be true what someone overheard JOBS saying…

I got this post idea from CONCRETE LOOP after I spent two hours reading CRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Just be warned that both sites are internets crack. Don’t visit them until you are ready to commit some serious time to celebrity blogging.
I hate the celebrity driven society that we live in, but I am always fascinated by their lives. Celebs are regular folks just like us who occasionally trip while they are walking or they don’t pay their car notes on time or they have wicked bunions on their toes. We pay them an inordinate amount of our time because they help us forget about our flaws and our own mortality. In the end we all suffer from the same human needs and desires. We all just want to be loved.
To that end we find that MARIAH CAREY, her producer, and her record label are being sued by some unknown singer/dancer for copyright infringement. Parts of MARIAH’s hit single ‘It’s Like That’ were taken from this girl’s MySpace page. Well blow me down! Who knew MySpace was good for anything other than smashing some 15yr. old poon? I feel a kind of way that MARIAH got all of those Grammy awards and she didn’t even get her material legally. I suppose everything will be right with the world when MARIAH gives up some of that DefJam dinero to the young lady whose swagger was jacked.
And then I bet homegirl will take the check straight to that Miami doctor and get her tops upgraded, just like MARIAH.
