HAPPY HANUKKAH BITCHES!

Mack and the Mackabees

Say what you want to about Hebrews but give us our props for having the most kick azz holiday stretch of any of the major religions. Okay, okay, the coptic Christians that go from Christmas to Three Kings Day have two weeks of balling out, but Hanukkah is still the bomb because we get to use fire.

Our holiday is the celebration of pushing back the wigs of the Greek soldiers that were occupying the holy land. Back in those days the Greeks had a whole military industrial complex to die for (literally). They had a navy and an army and they were into shit like coming up into your living room and taking your television and your goats and the what not.

My great-great-great grandfathers were tired of the Greeks beasting out their property so they made some of the occupiers lean back. This started a whole war thing. Since the Greeks had like all the good tanks and helicopters my people would have to throw their rocks and then run into the mountains to hide out. The Greeks were hating on my folks bigtime by calling them militants, terrorists, insurgents and all kinds of other misnomers. It was a bad scene. Many Hebrews were killed and enslaved.

my peeps

The tide turned after the Greeks ran up inside the temple in Jehrusalem and started wildin’ out. The Greeks tried to make the temple a sanctuary for their homie Zeus and that is when all hell broke loose. Everyone in the ‘hood flipped out on the Greeks including all the old folks. With their rocks and sticks they pushed the Greeks back into the sea.

The temple was in shambles, but my peoples decided to make a big party out of the repairing of the house of the Lord. It took them only one quarter cycle of the moon to complete the renovations, but we have been arguing about who did the most work ever since.

REEBOK BACK…

Monday, December 19th, 2011

As you can see, I was all about Reebok, Polo and Timberland from the rip. So you can imagine that I was excited when Reebok reached out to me to see if I would be interested in talking about some of their products. The truth is that I’m all about their legacy shoes like the Ex-O-Fit, but I wasn’t as keen on their ZigTech sneakers.

That was until I walked the streets of Brooklyn with the NYC Reebok rep. I realized how similar our sneaker sensibilities were and how I might possibly get to see a return of the all black tennis classics. I’ll fux with Reebok for a chance to rock some shit like that in a premium leather. In the meantime and in between time I’m getting seeded with styles of my choosing.

Here’s a Reebok collab with the clothing company 10Deep. The trailrunners are called Night Sky Mids. Nice suede on the upper over a ripstop mesh base. I ain’t mad at these joints one bit.

TrailBlazing Lifestyle…

JustBlaze says he isn’t a competitive dude which means that he only plays to win. He started TWitting his lifestyle archives and went a little O.D. on me. I was hanging on for dear life after seeing some of these I.T.’s.

I’ll dig out some joints this week to submit to the thread just to show I’m no slouch on the couch in this game, but JustBlaze is definitely the pointguard up in this shit. Here’s just a peek at some of this dude’s collection…

It really all got started when Just posted a picture of one of his dogs layed out on an $1800 blanket scarf. Then he posted a pic of his other dog laying on the legendary ‘cashmere Bear’ knit. LMAO

The rodeo knit from 1989 is another legendary I.T. that I had not seen previously I had only heard people make mention of.

Cashmere Italian ski man is fiyahverks. I only have the hat :-/

The supersize crest is another heirloom piece. These joints are extra rare at this point because Polo RL almost never retros their designs.

This isn’t simply another sweater but an unreleased sample. being a true conniesuer means going to the ‘nother level to make acquisitions no one else would consider or be able to connect to.

The Ski ’92 jacket is prA’li the hardest graphic ever placed on apparel. RL racer red has been my favorite color along with the royal blue and yellow ever since Polo put them on ski jackets. This jacket takes the cake.

What do I need to tell you about this piece? If you have eyes then you should already know.

Now I’m speechless… SnowBeach pullover with ColdWave pants and Nike Bespoke Air Force 1s. This is supreme outfit architecture and I know he even has the SnowBeach hat in the stash too.

JustBlaze gets the official crest on his lifestyle collection.

The glorious tight pants era in the Big East [ll]…

Syracuse is gonna have some ‘splaining to do because of Assistant Coach Bernie Fine’s mezzling charges. It looks like it’s been going down since the days of the tight pants.

Say it ain’t so Pearl?
