Being a fan of the legendary outfielder KEN GRIFFEY Jr. gets a little bit easier for me with Nike’s retro releases of his signature shoes. This summer will see the Griffey Max GD II’s back on the streets.

Corona, Queens is the epicenter of the city that is the birthplace of the artistic movement called Hip-Hop. In the 1980’s Flushing Meadow Park would host a weekend extravaganza called ‘Queens Day’. There would be free concerts all throughout the park and Queens’ finest would be on display.
This drop is just a small tribute to the Unisphere in Flushing Meadow Park, Von’s on Northern Blvd, La Cabana, The Colosseum, Q.P.’s, The Jackson, Lemon Ice King, Busy Bee Mall, Queens Center Mall, Green Acres, and the list goes on and on…
