air max 2009+

^ The Air Max 2009+ = DP.com Sneaker of the Year

Tune in tonight to Obsessive Sneaker Disorder Radio where the discussion will turn into which sneakers deserve to be listed in the years top 10 releases. I’m riding with the Air Max 2009+. This is one of those great evolutionary shoes that pushes the level so far up it will be several years before Nike can even catch up to itself. The weight of the shoe combined with the incredible strength and look make this shoe instantly a benchmark in the Air Max legacy.

I thought the Air Max 360 platform was as far as the envelope could be pushed but the AM09+ has even more air in the outsole along with a carbonfiber upper that both breathes and secures the foot in place better than any previous Air Max shoe. I also love the wide footbed that doesn’t pinch my foot in any area. Because these shoes are on par with Nike’s more elite designs the pricepoint is similar to a Jordan brand shoe. I would take the Air Max 2009+ over any Jordan shoe that dropped this year (considering the Carmine retro VI was last year).

If I can get anything for holidays from one of my friends at Nike I would like to have the Air Max 2009+ pictured below along with the sweater fleece hoodie. The Nike hoodies have gone high-end with the Loopwheeler cotton construction and I wouldn’t know what to do with a $250 hoodie (oh, don’t get it twisted, I would figure some shit out), but I just want a simple heather grey sweater jacket to complement these Air Max so if someone at the Swoosh fux with DP.com please send them my way.

Thanx internets. Thanx Nike.

Fila Still Got Flavor…

fila

I’m gonna enjoy this obama. Fila was that lifestyle brand in the eighties that all of these other sportswear companies have tried to swaggerjack. Fila, Le Coq Sportif, Prince and Sergio Tachini were all must have warm up suits for your collection. Fila was the freshest of the lot. They used velour cottons and well made lightweight wool blends that gave meaning to term ‘warm up’.

The Fila aerobic trainer was the most official sneaker for anyone going to see a movie on the Deuce unless you had the Gucci trainer. I would crack up if Polo still had a pair of Gucci joints. I give credit where it is due and Polotron stayed wearing the Gucci trainers. I would call the OG Gucci trainer and the Bally Competition >>> The Air Jordan 2. Fila’s aerobic joints are iconic as well.

Polo, hit me on the hip for we can roll up on this joint.

cap fury

Are you ready to shit yourself in anticipation for Iron Man 2 and the rollout of Marvel Comics live-action movies? If your answer is hell yes then you need this Marvel Legends 2-pack (no Tupac) of the Ultimate Nick Fury and the Ultimate Captain America.

I’m lacing two(2) readers for the holidays just for answering one of these questions…

Who was the writer/artist team that conceived the Ultimate Nick Fury?

How many movies has the actor Samuel L. Jackson been contracted to for the Nick Fury character?

fett hoody

I take it for granted sometimes that y’all fux with the shit I post on this site. I don’t believe that anyone internalizes these drops the same way that I do. How could y’all? That would make y’all as crazy as I am. But some of y’all are as crazy as me. Some of y’all live for the day that you can put on a Dr.Doom mask and green cape and just walk through the subway system. I salute the people that know what the fux it is that I’m about at heart.

The homey DJ Franchise from Know the Ledge hit me with a TWitter kite that the Macy*s around his way – killer Cali – had a few of these Marc Ecko Boba Fett hoodys left lying around and they were on sale for 50% off. You already know that 30% off is official, so 50% off is like, superficial. Ha. I amuse myself most of all with my own retardedness. Good looking on that joint DJ Franchise. I got a little something extra coming to you in the mail with that check.

During the Tiger Woods imbroglio I have thoroughly enjoyed the TWits coming from my Cali sweetheart Mz. Ahmad. She is one of my blogosphere heroines and I love that she always keeps her steez so fresh and so clean. When she gets tired of something she puts it aside and starts working on a new project. I love her energy and her style. You can find her alter-ego Aunt Jackie dropping fashion jewels on the internets now at The Recessionistas.

Everybody knows our homies N8 and Meka right? N8 isn’t from Cali though, but he started a weblog aside from his Nah’Right grinding to give the internets a look at some of his interests outside of the rap game. What?!? N8 does something else other than listen to rap and watch Hip-Hop videos all day? His new page is called It’s The Calm and he gave some space for Meka from 2DopeBoyz to give us the story of his ascendancy on the world wide web.

Cali internets work their asses off just to keep up with the info cycle of us folks here on the east coast. Make sure you pay a visit to these folks pages in your web travels when you aren’t here fuxing with your boy. Thanks, and you’re very welcome.

All Batman, All The Time…

yr 1

DC Comics is celebrating their platinum anniversary by putting the kibosh on developing any new Superman movies. The reason is that the copyright to the character is returning into the hands of the creator’s estates and Warner Brothers (DC’s parent corp.) wants to avoid the legal wrangling that almost derailed the Watchmen film.

This means more Batman films in the immediate future, which I’m not mad with. The Batman franchise headed by crazy Christian Bale has been nothing but winners. My fingers remain crossed to see the aged Batman from The Dark Knight Returns find himself on the big screen. A number of other DC Comics properties are also being developed for films as the rumors go.

Bizarro Superman is supposed to be a comedy where we go to Bizarro Earth to find that Bizarro Superman is a hero there and not a villain. A live action Aquaman movie and Adam Strange are also being developed. Green Arrow, Shazam and Flash all reportedly have scripts that are completed. The best news for DC Comics though is that Warner Bros. has hired longtime writers Grant Morrison and Marv Wolfman as consultants to expedite the film production.

Early next year we will get to see some of the classic DC characters in their small screen movie premiere. Smallville: Justice Society will feature Hawkman, Green Arrow, Stargirl and Dr. Fate. The preview pics look interesting enough for me to DVR these episodes. I’ve never been a big fan of Superman, but when you mix that character with the justice League or even just Batman and Wonder Woman it starts to make more sense to me.

DC Comics animation division has been on-point from the word go. Now their live-action film division has got to step their game up or get buried by the oncoming Marvel/Disney juggernaut. DC has the characters to get back in the game, but the question remains as to whether or not they have the game plan.
