The 24-7-365 Lifestyle…

Wednesday, June 20th, 2012

My lifestyle isn’t just about rockin’ Lifestyle, but yeah, it’s about just being free to do the things which give you peace.

I love my kicks but sometimes I h8 the game.

The Kobe 7 Supremes are slept on heat rocks.

On my way to this Epic Records meet and greet I fell thru Lord & Taylor on West 39th Street after I got the e-mail that today was the last day to use my 20% Off coupon on clearance items. Lord’s had this hat from the Modern Explorer series I had been scoping out. I was ready to copp that to top of my outfit architecture.

The cap I wanted wasn’t there but I found these two pieces in the $20 bin and with 20% Off that took them down to $16 apiece. A plaid newsboy cap and 5-panel camper joint with a little side patch action. And why the fux not?

After the Epic Records event I decided to slip into Midtown Comics and pick up a couple of books which have been on my mind. We’ll talk about those comics in a future drop.

The Kobe 7 Systems are so nice I had to make a video about them.

Twice.

Outfit Architecture…

I’ma call this drop a ‘remodeling’ post.

I dropped pics on this RLX ‘Whitewater‘ series jacket along with the tee and olive blue label shorts, but I have been going H.A.M. over the sales at Bloomingdales so much that I copped some other I.T.s that could rock with the jacket.

The RLX sweaters are always some of my favorites because they are mostly hand knit and always full of technical details. This pullover reminds of a piece I seen on the homey MarQ Spekt.

I’m putting these Air Max 2011s in the mix with this ‘Fit now just to see if I get the POP I’m looking for. Accessories are a must for all of you outfit architects. I’ll be adding or subtracting from this ‘Fit until I pop the tags on this joint in the fall.

In pursuit of sneaker come ups I will leave no stone unturned and no discount department store unperused. Century21 has been holding some shoes for me for the last few months.

In this video I come up HARDBODY.

Now we can get to the good part…

I want to give these Nike Blazers (size 13) away to someone who follows this website. All you have to do is be the first person to attach the link to the DallasPenn.com drop where I have the other Century21 shopping spree video posted.

The Spider vs. The Lion…

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

The OKC Thunder have taken the first contest in the Association’s tournament finale but the real showdown is between the signature shoes of each team’s star players.

In one corner we have the KD IV, Kevin Durant’s sneaker. The best thing I have to say about the KD’s is how Kevin Durant demanded that Nike create a shoe with an accessible pricepoint. The KD’s retail for $95 and that is almost half the going rate for most sneakers in this hypebeast era.

In the other corner we have the Lebron 9. This is the first Lebron signature shoe I have purchased. What attracted me to the shoe was the instep sculpting. I love the way the arch is supported by the carbon fiber plate underneath.

The Lebron and KD shoes come in a bevy of colorways so it’s gonna be hard to pick which shoe shall reign supreme.

The KDIV ‘Nerf’ was a hypebeast favorite. The shoes came in a box with a Nerf sponge basketball and rim. Pictured directly above is the KDIV ‘Weatherman’ which most sneaker heads slept on at first.

The Lebron 9 ‘Cannon’ is my first Lebron shoe (that I paid for). Full Disclosure: FootLocker gave me the ‘Free Gums’ back during their Hottest Month Ever peomotion.

The KDIV ‘Year Of The Dragon’ edition is part of the 2012 Year Of The Dragon pack. I’m secretly looking for the Kobe 7 YOTDs

I just bought these Lebron 9 ‘China’ off eBay and I swear if they are bondooloo I’m gonna rampage. LOL
