Morehouse Men: Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell…

morehouse

There are two things I don’t want to do as a real Black man. The first is go into the army. The second is go to college. At least if I went into the army they would pay me to follow the orders of some sycophant. You go to college and you have to pay them to give you assignments. How crazy is that? Like I’m gonna pay someone to give me odd jobs?

Sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiidddddd!

The reaction that Morehouse College’s president takes to the exposure of his student body [ll] are as inane as the military’s opinion of their soldiers who are homosexual. It’s incredulous to me that both institution’s want their populations repressed as a method for controlling them. Who the fux cares about the gheys other than the gheys? Don’t ask, don’t tell? Hell yeah, just don’t try to fingerbang my foxhole.

Politically powerful gheys are upset because they don’t want their class status revoked. This is why you can never equate ghey rights with those of the Black or the colored injuns. When you are a Black you are always a Black. When you are ghey you can rock the closet to keep your standing in society. Just look at Eddie Long. Who incidentally plays the Atlanta political scene kind of big.

Atlanta should just change their name to Freaklanta.

It has the same number of syllables.

I know that CMJ is taking over most of downtown NYC, but with the greatest comic book illustrator of all time in SoHo tonight I have my plans set.

Neal Adams run on Batman is some of the greatest superhero artwork ever. The Bat is a fluid, sinewy nightstalker. He makes the Bat seem real and you can see the pain Bruce Wayne has carried with him since childhood.

Neal Adams will be featuring some of his recent Batman project for this NYC visit.

air jordan 2009

I don’t feature Jordan brand shoes on this page because I don’t really fux with J’s like that anymore. You can pretty much go anywhere on the web and see some shit about Air Jordans. Knowing all of that going in I have to talk to you about this shoe – The Air Jordan 2009.

I loved the profile of the AJ2009 from the word go, but the $190 pricepoint was totally prohibitive. Only the most gonzo Air Jordan fan was copping these shoes. It was the first time I could remember AJ stans dissing the shoe release on a wholesale level.

It wasn’t until I came up on these shoes in A.J.Wright stores that I decided to fux with the shoe. As it stands now I have 3 pairs of 2009s. They were too cheap for me not to copp. I just saw them for $29.99 at the Nike outlet in Woodbury Commons. If you see this shoe for less than $50 I am telling you to go in hardbody.

I finally cracked a pair last weekend and they blew my mind. They were more responsive and more comfortable than a pair of Air Max. So I consulted with one of my Sneaker Fiends superstars who also happens to be a de facto Jordan brand representative – Solace from Timeless Truth.

Solace sent me these links of his homey Jason Mayden who actually designed the Air Jordan 2009. After learning all about the technical details of these shoes I can’t wait to rock them again. Keep a lookout for these shoes in my next fanboy video. Until then…

Morgan State homecoming >>> Morehouse College homecoming (extreme nullus)

Sean Price x Rock (Heltah Skeltah) – ‘Church’

The College Music Journal festival kicks off tonite here in NYC and as usual I have myself triple booked to attend showcases all around town. The weather is craptastic right now so instead of stunting in a pair of Dunks I am pulling out my ol’ reliable shit kickers.

The classic 6″ waterproof boot in the brown oiled leather is what I like to use for when rainy dayz meets CMJ shows. These boots will be stepping in puddles containing beer, urine and possibly vomit (COLLEGE music journal) so I need to have footwear on that can be wiped down as fast as I change venues.

I’ll break out the nubuck after all the college kids have gone home.
