Atlanta isn’t just the queen city of the South, it is the food capital of the world. I can’t think of another place I have been to which has this many egalitarian restaurants. Maybe Paris, but the food in Paris is generally excellent, save for the American fast food chains. The food in Atlanta is mostly horrible, except for a handful of spots.
Spondivits is a tiny little seafood restaurant right outside of the ‘hood (College Park). They used to have a few joints in and around Atlanta like in the Buckhead area, but now they are reduced to this one last spot and that shit gets crunk on weekends. You might find you a wife up in Spondivits going innnnnn on a bucket of king crab legs.
If you got some money to blow on a broad that you might have bagged up from Blue Flame in Bankhead then you take her to Spondivits and order her the fried shrimp basket. That comes with fries or a baked potato and a bevy of dipping sauces. Spondivits is priced fair too so you can’t really be accused of tricking (under $20 rule) either, or better still, go to Spondivits with your boys and mack someone else’s broad like my homey D-Bloc does.
