^ Yeah, I did that too.

What the fuck is good party people?!?

This drop will be on some spaz shit with my grammar and spelling all over the effing place. Put the women and children to bed if you have to, even though it’s something something in the morning when you are reading this.

Shouts to my folks at ThinkTank Marketing who stay hitting me off with the industry popoffs that have the “Obama”. That is my new word for open bar functions – Obamas. It’s a celebration bitches. Your DVD’s are in the mail.

A couple of commenters have asked about the Blu Cheez Ghetto Celeb photo galleries and why there aren’t any more jiggly asses or tatas on display. The boss of this website, Chocolate Snowflake, decided that all the images that aren’t digestable for undeveloped stomachs should be made private. If you want access to these galleries then you need to request a username and password from Blu Cheez. E-mail him. He’s a good dude.

Back to the matter at hand…

I am constantly thinking of shit to do at this website to make this space interesting and worthwhile for you readers to continue to find us in your browser. With a proliferation of good weblogs on the internets I feel like our job here might be almost done. Several of you have asked me to complete the memoirs of my New York City journeys and I strongly consider that feedback. Although, writing a gut-wrenching tell-all book for seven people seems like more of a vanity project than something that will ultimately be worth my time. Oops, the eight readers that tune in on the regulack (my badd Candice). In any case maybe some more blog drops about vintage New York City are what we need to wrap up this website.

Did I say biggup to ThinkTank Marketing? Last nite’s “Obama” was at a space currently called Plumm. Back in the days this space was called Nell’s and it was one of the great NYC clubs. Nell’s was in the cut as far as clubs operated and there were always celebrities in the basement lounge. Back in those days I made my side scrilla from grams and eightballs of that yayze. Nell’s was non-descript and their wood paneled bathroom was ultra-classy even without having an attendant. I don’t really miss those days since they were spent in a haze of yayze.

GOD blessed me by giving me a day job across the street from Nell’s. I just called it a job, but it was really the Old Jew’s classroom. That’s where the Old Jew taught me the true meaning of being one of GOD’s chosen. If you are a real Jew, a REAL JEW, then your responsibility is to teach man, to show man the light. That is the singular divine obligation of the chosen. Each one, teach one. If you aren’t a teacher then you are only jewish. My apologies to all the folks that are only jewish. Maybe one day you too can be one of the chosen. Anyhoo…

I have watched West 14th Street transform several times over and over again. If New York City has an actual heart it is prah’lee somewhere in between 14th and 34th Streets. Sixth Ave is definitely the aorta. I don’t know shit about vascular systems and I don’t even know why you are reading this shit right now. Go click over to some other website where they are talking about gossip and the Grammys. I’m not feeling that shit here today.

What I am feeling like doing right now is enjoying the Toy Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center and enjoying this buzz from eight rounds of Bombay Sapphire and tonic water. My mic sounds nice check one, my mic sounds nice check two. Shout out to all the folks that read this shit and have no fucking idea what the fuck I am talking about but can find the one sentence of truth and make it work for their life. I respect that courage. That isn’t just the liquor talking either. Okay, maybe the liquor is talking, but I meant what ever the fuck I just said.

The Past, Present and Future of cRap Music

crazy hat

I haven’t been motivated to do the necessary work on the cRap Music Fantasy League. It all seems so pointless now. I need a muse, or a really nice paycheck. I remember when I thought rap music would last forever. Or at least until the year 2000.

Eff Black History Month In The A!

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

slave

Eff it good and hard.

First of all, shit is the shortest ass month. Secondly, shit is colder than a hooker’s heart.

Black History Month needs to be in August with Harlem Week. August has 31 days and then we move right into the Labor Day holiday.

Black History is fucking world history. Don’t front now and act like you don’t recognize the mother of humanity. I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if the highest mason on the planet was a Black woman. She cast the rest of her lot down to maintain her hedgemony.

Think about that for a minute and consider the fact that the two most powerful women on this planet are both Black bitches. I say bitch with only the utmost respect, of course. Between CONDOLEEZA RICE and OPRAH WINFREY you have the two most socially, politically and therefore economically influential women on the planet. That is Black history. And that is why I tell you to eff Black history in the ‘A’.

I’m just sick and tired of Black History Month always high-lighting the same motherfuckers every year. Who’s on the committee this year? Somebody better put Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s name in the running for a humanitarian award or there is gonna be some shit. Martin Luther King Jr. can’t get that award EVERY year.

The reason I’m so sick is that we have old folks leading the charge towards equity and equality like they did in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Let these folks go die somewhere and stop acting all happy that it is Black History Month. America does not give a fuck about Black History.

America was built on the basis of stolen land and free labor. Not so much stolen I suppose since the Indians did give Manhattan away for several thousands blankets laced with smallpox. The whole free labor thing isn’t entirely correct either since the gentry and the landowners paid someone for the human chattel. I’m not about to sit here and give you a fucking history lesson on chattel slavery and it’s economic impact.

No Black people give a shit about history unless they can use it to squeeze some pennies out of a corporation. Ask these same Black people to donate some of their time to volunteer efforts in their own communities and see how many people answer the bell. Stop using your Blackness to only benefit yourselves. That’s what elitists do. I’d call you self-serving negroes elitists too, if you weren’t simply jigs on the make. You are no different from the pimps, pushers, peddlers and panhandlers that you shake your heads at.

Just because you get a W-2 and you submit a report to the IRS don’t get it twisted and think that you aren’t a hustler too. The real question that I posit to all of the Blackness that reads my shit is not HOW you got your ends, but what you did with them afterwards?

bodega

A little over a year ago CASIMIR, RAFI and I put together a film based on the food choices that people from the “poorest urban county in America” make on the daily. We started filming this movie in the South Bronx neighborhood called Hunts Point. When I tell you about a residential neighborhood that is fucked the fuck up… There isn’t a supermarket chain or even a commercial bank in the area. There is a detention center in the ‘hood though, the infamous Spofford Youth Center.

Folks here in Hunts point are on the way down and not up, and the services that the community receives reflect as much. This is how the city views this community socially, politically and economically. This isn’t how we saw the neighborhood though and when you put aside the humor that we placed into the Bodega video you should see the point of equal access. The people of the South Bronx and ALL of New York City must have access to healthy and nutritional foods. In this city of millions of people where billions of dollars are generated on the regulack there must be some equity for our most marginalized residents. Only then will NYC be the greatest city on Earth.

NEW JERZ! PUT YOUR QUARTER WATERS IN THE SKY!

‘Bodega’ will be featured this weekend at the Black Maria Film Festival starting on Friday night. Come out and politic with the i.C.’s as we kick off the BMFF’s 2008 season.

POLITRICKS 2008: Negroalculus 101

During the 2004 Presidential election results broadcast CBS commentator BOB SCHIEFFER asked his co-host DAN RATHER what would be the outcome of the “big Black vote”. The election party that I was attending broke out into a raucous caucus at the suggestion of a big Black vote. White worries about the size of the Black penis in every way, even in the voting booth.

The idea of an African American voting bloc is more of a fantasy than a reality in 2008. Forty years ago African Americans retained a dramatic solidarity due to the still open wounds of segregation and the murders of charismatic speakers like JOHN F. KENNEDY, MALCOLM X and MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. In 2008 we find that African Americans no longer even pretend to share the political values of people who don’t have the same economic footholds. The big Black vote is dead. Just like Hip-Hop.

What misleads the pollsters and pundits to envision a monolithic voting bloc of African Americans is the fact that an overwhelming number of Blacks are registered to the Democratic party. Some good that has done them for the last forty years since MLK was murdered. You can imagine how JESSE JACKSON and AL SHARPTON were able to manipulate the Black participation in politics for so many years but now with the success of BARACK OBAAMA without their support it begs the question of these icons relevance to a Black voting solidarity.

The Brooklyn Book and Video club helped compile some of the following numbers that relate to Black voters and American voters in general. Over one third of the 3,086 people that responded to the survey were African American. 1,046 to be exact. Black voters respond to pollsters because they feel like someone actually cares what they think. Black folks are still dreaming four decades after the death of KING.

Some Blacks are way better off like Soulja Boy, but the rest of the monolith is stuck in neutral.

negroalculus

Black people! You need to change your voter registration cards to Republican. I’m not necessarily advocating that you vote as a Republican, but you definitely need to change your party affiliations.

I’ve always had a problem with the racial construct of Black and white. It’s a lie from the word go since even the darkest skinned African Americans have a mahoghany hue while the lightest of whites looks like a pinkish beige, kind’a like mauve. Colored seems to fit white more appropriately as well since a white can change his skin color after he has been punched(purple), scared(yellow), embarrassed(red), jealous(green) and sad(blue). Talk about a rainbow coalition…
