You remember when Marc Ecko Cut & Sew did their Star Wars tribute? That shit was official bone gristle. I still haven’t come up on the Boba Fett hoody because people are beasting out on the eBay system. But if I had it like that I would also copp the Stormtrooper hoody along with these Dunks pictured below.
These joints are Dunk 1-pieces. They are given the namesake because the upper is shaped from a single piece of leather. I could see an army of clones rocking these super clean joints.

I need to get my ass to Atlanta for this joint.
I may have watched the original three Star Wars episodes(4-6) at least 100x since I got the DVD’s in July. These are my favorite films of all time. I’m damn near 40yrs old and I still wouldn’t mind dressing up like any character from one of these movies. Not just on Halloween, but everyday.
So you might could think about the dilemma I am facing with adidas creating a pack of Originals brand kicks in homage to Star Wars?
adidas was smart enough not to leak the entire images of these products because they may ultimately be asscheeks. The shoes listed as ‘Stormtroopers’ are already looking like fails to me because the stormtrooper boots are all white with a black outsole. The ‘Vader’ ZX shoe has some promise tho’.
adidas even has some apparel dropping with this pack of shoes.
I have to see some bettter pics of this shit because I have a feeling that this might not meet the full DP fanboyz stamp of approval.
Stay tuned in sneaker fiends.
I was on the internets doing a search for my IC homey Casimir when I came across the above image that was rendered by Japanese artist KATSURA MOSHINO. It reminded me of some things I have seen at FreeDarko.com and I imagine that is where FD’s graphics dudebro gets some of his inspiration.
I vaguely remember the illustration because it was part of a Nike campaign in 1998 for their Forceposite basketball shoes. I owned a pair of these kicks because they were fresh as hell and combined some of my favorite Nike memes like air and styrofoam. The shoes were actually heavy for a pair of foam sneakers but the silver metallic finish was a neck breaker and when you are in the business of styling on fools you are gonna need a pair of kicks in your repertoire that make people look twice.
The Forceposite shoe was worn by Tim Duncan in the same lockout shortened NBA season that the Spurs defeated my Knicks for the title. That didn’t stop me from wearing these sneakers though. Whenever Nike does some wild shit like putting styrofoam, carbon fiber or solar panels on their sneakers I am always the first person in line to cop a pair.
So when Nike developed the Flightposite shoes for the young superstar Kevin Garnett you can bet your bottom dollar that I was ready to go and spend my last dollar to rock out with a pair. The Flightposite I shoe has since been retro’d and released back into the mainstream. My favorite pair was the Flightposite III because this was the most futuristic extraterrestrial close encounters alien looking shoe of all time.
Now seeing an image of the Flightposite III got me all hot and bothered. I needed to put these shoes back in my life. Preferably a pair of deadstocked (never worn, not even tried on) 12’s for the everlasting icebox archive. The true story is that I own a pair that I have worn considerably since I copped them originally back in 2002. I just wanted another pair to keep in deep storage because I am crazy like that.
This is why the internets is my very best friend. I know that if I just put a wish out into the internets universe the thing I am looking for will find my inbox.
I’m gonna get these joints again before the year is over.
