Southern Independence…

Friday, August 17th, 2012

Atlanta has more independent music festivals than Austin and New York City combined. Ever since the days of the Jack The Rapper convention Atlanta has kept their doors open to emerging artists and trends. There’s a reason why terrestrial radio plays mostly music broken from Atlanta (Ca$h Out?!?) and that’s because Atlanta stays on their grind for up and coming talent.

This weekend will be the setting for the Atlanta Independent Music Festival. This is the festival where artists like Yelawolf, B.o.B., J-Davey and Donnis caught their launching pad buzz from. I’m prA’Li gonna meet up with Maurice Garland for the first time at this event.

I’m scheduled to be back in Atlanta in October for the A3C Music Festival. Good thing for me mom’s basement is in Marietta. It’s like I’m already home when my plane lands at Hartsfield.

Meyhem In Brooklyn…

Friday, August 10th, 2012

Meyhem Lauren and his Outdoorsmen brother AG da Coroner touched down at the Mishka store in Bushwick to drop a few raps on the people.

Meyhem Lauren is looking real Hulkish lately.

Don’t let me say that been I told you so.

Respect The Fly Shit still spinning in my iTunes.

Outfit Architecture…

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

I’ve been waiting to post this ‘Fit but I had to make sure my footings were rock solid first. This outfit was being built ever since I visited mom dukes in the ‘A’ way back in the spring. I didn’t copp any of the components back then but I started up my aspirations.

The electrolime Foamposites were released that weekend and I couldn’t get my hands on them. The dude from FootLocker who always sends me e-mails to post his press releases on my site wouldn’t reply to me. Atlanta sneaker shops carrying the Foamposites are so few and far between that I couldn’t make a connect. I was stuck, but still I had my aspirations.

RLX been on some shit since 2010 but I haven’t embraced the designs since I didn’t think I could make the transition in my life to getting back into ‘athletically aspirational apparel’. LOL. The kid been strictly casual, but I was wanting to be motivated to get fit.

I decided to get this ‘Fit starting with the Foams (which incidentally were the last I.T. copped).

The shorts are blue label from the Modern Explorer series. Marshall’s had these early in the spring for $40 and I opted not to wait on these to hit the clearance markdown. They wouldn’t have made it there. The tee is from an assist from the homey Krash One who told me not to fux with UniQlo since I wouldn’t be able to squeeze into their shit anyhoo.

Good looks Krash, Hail Meg.

The jacket is similar to the Whitewater series ‘Yosemite’ windbreaker we featured on this page previously.

The jacket’s technical superiority is unmatched. Bloomingdale’s pricepoints for these RLX pieces was unfuxwittable.

My favorite I.T. within this ‘Fit was the lining layer sweatshirt. It’s made with a sick soft brushed cotton and all kinds of strings and pulleys to keep me busy.

Bloomingdale’s dropped the price down to $35 so you already know the kid was copping one to rock, and one to stock in the dP Lifestyle Archive.

Lastly, shouts to the people at Poleberg.com for gifting me this custom licensed New Era fitted. The cap is made from this tightwoven canvas which is lighter than the wool caps and even water-resistant. Perfect for a rainy autumn afternoon.

This is how I does my lifestyle hardbody. Thanks for tuning in Internets.
