The film follows the travails of a family of white (incidentally bearing the surname White) as they stumble across the Appalachian region of West Virginia. The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia invokes a live action version of the ‘Squidbillies’ cartoon that I love so much.
I love the Squidbillies because it is purposely outrageous and it is a cartoon. I’m never as fond as human caricatures. No matter their skin complexion.
