Sometimes I forget that I’m a contributor to one of Hip-Hop’s most official journalistic movements. My editor-in-chief reminded me by asking me what the deal was with all my action figure videos?

I breaks it down here…

Get Ready For Brisket…

Wednesday, June 27th, 2012

The special guests for this week’s Combat jack Show podcast will be Meyhem Lauren, producer Harry Fraud and AG da Coroner (from various Outdoormen projects).

Here’s a sample of what Meyhem and Harry have been cooking up with their collabo project ‘Respect The Fly Shit’ dropping on Thursday…

Meyhem Lauren, Action Bronson, AG da Coroner – ‘BBQ Brisket’

And here’s a look at the tracklist for ‘Respect The Fly Shit’

There’s plenty of Outdoorsmen flavor with features from all of my favorite rappers like Sean Price, Roc Marciano and Himanshu from Das Racist. Meyhem Lauren is the artist who got hot after simmering in the pot with a low and steady fire.

You are gonna fux with this dude one day soon. Word to Robbie from UnKut.

Lethal Weapon @ SummerStage…

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

When Action Bronson announced he’d be on the bill for the City Parks (SummerStage) show at Red Hook Park I knew he was gonna bring out Meyhem Lauren for at least a track.

I’m looking at the pictures of these dudes with the NYC sky turning to dusklight and I feel a sense of satisfaction from their accomplishments. Its a funny thing to actually know these cats and to break bread with them and to talk the artistry and lifestyle of a rap singer.

These dudes were all real before I even met them. Their trajectory is still pointed upwards and onwards. They gonna have to do a track now called ‘Excelsior’. Pardon me internets, I’m just in a New York state of mind.
