Celtic Rising…

2008 SLAM

You can tell this cover is from a few years ago because the Celtics ‘Big 3’ isn’t buttressed by their point guard Rajon Rondo.

Rondo is approaching legendary status if the C’s go all the way and right now no one left in the tournament is playing with their confidence or determination. It starts from the PG position. Rondo is grabbing rebounds and loose balls [ll] like he really means it.

He is reminding me of Isiah Thomas and his leadership for that veteran team of Detroit Pistons. Except Rondo isn’t even 25yrs old yet. You knew he was tough for his ability to secure boards, but it’s his court intelligence that takes him to the next level.

Everyone will talk about the play where he dove on the floor, but this play right here where he gives Gortat the “banana in the tailpipe” (a direct Jalen Rose quote) was my favorite play from Game 3.

polo kids

Leave it up to Thirstin’ Howl the 3rd to force all ‘Lo heads to step they game up. You can’t be living the lifestyle if your seeds ain’t dipped from the rip as well.

I bagged up Chocolate Snowflake after I brought her to my house and showed her all of my Polo Ralph Lauren clothing that had corresponding matching baby gear. I’m just glad that she didn’t meet Thirstin’ before me.

This is what the ‘Lo-End Theory is all about…

Philly 360° Creative Ambassadors: 2010

Marsha Ambrosius – ‘Cloud 9’

The lovely and talented Marsha Ambrosious is just one of a dozen of Philadelphia’s Creative Ambassadors who will be highlighted during the upcoming summer months in the city of brotherly love.

When I met her last year she was just as warm and personable as her pictures suggest. Here was a person that was supremely talented and still supernaturally humble. Her mannerisms in my opinion evoke the Philadelphia DNA of someone who works hard and embraces humility. I have been bumping that ‘Cloud 9’ track for well over a year. I’m going to see if I can make a real (read: budgeted) music video for that song. I hope Marsha shows up at the Roots picnic.

The Roots annual picnic will be off the cheesesteak once again. Some of the special guests include legendary deejay Jazzy Jeff, indie rockers Vampire Weekend, indie rapstars Das Racist, The Clipse, John Legend, Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon.
