Lutheran School Lifestyle…

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

The Lutheran school that Mr. Penn sent me to for grade school and junior high is definitely where I formed all my social political ideas. Lutherans were on some shit where they wanted everyone to be literate and comprehensive. Their formation in Europe was around the printing press and the access to information this gave everyone.

The other thing I developed during my years at St.John’s Lutheran was an affinity for the oxblood colorway. Burgundy and grey are those classic prep school tones. Oxblood and navy is simply clean and smooth in autumn. The base for this ‘fit are the leather toe Rod Lavers.

The socks are a gift from BigNat and the scarf comes from JaiSlayer.

Thanks internets, Mr.Penn would have approved of this swag

All Black Everything…

Black Friday is upon us again Internets [ll].

Black people should reflect upon the fact that the day in which this country does the most commerce is the ONLY time something Black in AmeriKKKa is great.

I should’a been in Atlanta with Momdukes for the holiday, or at least for when SneakerCON pops off their first event in Atlanta.

But I’m up top tho’.

GRINDING. ha.

Grinding to a halt is what.

I’m gonna hit the lineups for the midnite release of the Air Jordan ‘Black Cement’ retro 3s and the Nike Air Total Max Foamposite.

Why do we call these 3s the ‘Black Cements’ when that print pattern is more elephant than anything? We should be smarter than to just follow the herd.

I am fuxing with the all black ‘Duncan’s’ tho’. The $200 pricetag feels a bit prohibitive right now after losing my phone this week but I’m also a hypebeast at heart.

Let’s see if I get caught up in the hype and copp either of these classic joints tomorrow. Or should I just stay my ass home and give up the hunt and the hype?

The epicenter of rap will forever be in the boro of Queens. Checks the stats. That is just a fact. The next Q-Boro rap wave is turning into a flood right before our very eyes. Action Bronson, along with his Outdoorsmen comrades have opened the lane for retro boom bap rap by bringing originality and slick emceeing back to the microphone.

I can’t say that I have heard any wack shit from Action, Meyhem Lauren or A.G. da Coroner and now they are turning the heat up to 1000. Listen to this track off the newly released Action Bronson x Statik Selektah project ‘Well Done’ which features Meyhem. Maffew Ragazino and the Coroner.

‘Terror Death Camp’

Action Bronson and Mayhem Lauren should be this nice alongside one another. They have been doing this thing for a long time. I’m not just talking about rap either, but graffiti, Polo and whatever else they fucking want. These dudes are the new Lethal Weapon.

Respect The Flood!
