Growing up MANNY…

September is the month that baseball’s chip contenders assert themselves.

The key is to be playing most of these games on your homefield. The Dodgers are not. They are playing 15 of their final 26 games away from Chavez Ravine. The comforting news is that 21 of those 26 games is against the Nationals, Pirates, Padres and Diamondbacks. No pushovers by any stretch since everyone is a professional big leaguer, but no playoff contenders in that group.

If the Dodgers are going to cement their seeding for the National League playoffs they will do it now.

I’m still holding out for a Boston x Los Angeles World Series where MANNYwood goes apeshit on Beantown.

Yankees vs. Dodgers would be classic autumn drama as well especially with the JOE TORRE storyline.

mannywood

I thought the Dodgers would run away with the NL West once MANNY RAMIREZ returned from his MLB suspension for trying to acquire mantits. Even though they set the pace for the entire league with their first half start, the second half hasn’t been the case for the Blue crew. While the Dodgers still have the best record in the West division they are close to losing that perch for overall record to the Phillies and or possible the Cards.

What has hurt the Dodgers has been their lack of consistent pitching. When you don’t have a rotation with any big name starters you hope that your mid level talent gets warm late in the season. These Dodger pitchers were hot early and that helped L.A. overcome the loss of their superstar leftfielder but now it seems like the gas is running out of the tank. I just hope the acquisition of VICENTE PADILLA can help the Dodgers out.

MANNY hasn’t been totally MANNY either since his return from the suspension. Yeah, it’s unrealistic to expect him to post the same numbers he did last season when he first came to L.A. and yes, he is still an above .300 hitter, the Dodgers need his .400 avg. bat and his clutch RBI production if they hope to honestly contend with Philadelphia and St. Louis for the NL World Series berth. I’m tuned in hardbody to the MLB from this point forward.

215Mag: Philly Runs This Shit…

block 2 block

If I were in Philly this weekend THIS is the shit I would be fuxing with. Not the whole running, biking, sk8boarding part, but the after party @ the Piazza part.

215 Magazine is all things great about Philadelphia and this event is something they had a hand in. The Piazza @ Liberties Walk is mah sheet when I go to Philly. Good music, good food and good looking people. I always knew that Philly was the most hardworking city of all time, I just never knew Philadelphia had it in her to be so damn sexy.

Are you ready for some football?!?

Football season means another year of the DP dot com Pro Football contest.

The winner scores a pair of kicks from the sneaker fiend himself, DALLAS PENN. This year’s pool is in honor of the best running back in the black and blue division of the NFC North – RYAN GRANT.

ADRIAN PETERSEN?!? Neva heard of him.

I copped these Nike SB Dunks last week the minute I saw they were making a pair of ‘Green Bays’. Who knows but I’d love to give away a pair of these jammies. Nonetheless, you win the pool you get a fresh pair of Nike Dunks or Air Max.

You want in on this action here’s all you gotta do…

Leave a comment on this thread and you get an invite.

BTW, shouts to CANDACE from the NCAA pool this year. I just remember that I owe you a pair of Dunks for coming in last place. I got you ma!

hail meg

A little remixing is going on today internets while I get myself together.

Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to get a chance to build with emcee par excellance Raekwon while he was in the studio with StreetLevel.com

That’s like the golden ticket to DisneyWorld.

I was part of the inaugural broadcast of Nah’Right Radio.

Slam Dunk.

Combat Jack gave the car a boost so I could make the home run to Freeport.

I just touched down.

Gonna need a minute to collect my thoughts and report back cogently.

Thank you for your patience.
