The Children Of OutKast…

spree wilson

I love talking shit about OutKast not being the greatest rap duo of all time, but at the end of the day you can see their DNA on all of your favorite popular music rap acts of today. Drake, Cudi, B.o.B. and the Weeknd are all the children of OutKast (particularly 3000). I have to add another name to that list – Spree Wilson.

Spree is also from Atlanta by way of Memphis and he has that laid back Tennessee blues vibe to his sound. But it is from the godhead of Andre 3K where I can see the influence evolution of Spree Wilson. The rhythm and movement is definitely that 2015 Marty McFly Back 2 The Future Dungeon Family flow.

I’m going to post a few of my favorite songs from his album ‘The Never Ending Now‘ but I suggest you click the link and download the complete album for yourself. Music should make you feel good for just being yourself. That is the shit what Spree Wilson is on and I fux with that.

pete rock

I’ve been considering Pete Rock’s catalog lately after listening to the ‘Monumental’ album with him and Smif-N-Wessun. Pete Rock has held the keys to the Soul Bounce production house. I’ve never heard anyone rap over Pete Rock’s drums who wasn’t respectful to the importance of the drum.

The drum was made to mimic the sound of thunder. The ancient sound of thunder is the call to open your ears and listen because a message is coming from on high.

Here’s a few choice joints produced by the Creator for you to spin thru your afternoon lunchbreak…

Heavy D – ‘Don’t Curse’

Pete Rock x CL Smooth – ‘Skinz’

Public Enemy – ‘Shut ‘Em Down’

House Of Pain – ‘Jump Around’

Run-DMC – ‘Down With The King’

Pete Rock x CL Smooth – ‘T.R.O.Y.’

meh

Maybe next year, after we’ve traded away Reyes and Wright we might could get some young blood to start this thing all over again and more importantly reduce the payroll. But for now we can revel in the kind of lackluster achievement that makes most fans wear paper bag hats.

Or really kick ass tees?

surfer dudes

Chocolate Snowflake took me to catch a flick about Black surfers called ‘White Wash‘. As you might imagine the whole surfboard shit is some Black bullshit. Turns out Africans have been on some wave riding shit for a basically forever. It’s how the Africans got to Australia and subsequently how the Australians found themselves in the Pacific Islands.

Sure, Africans did everything first, but how the movie transported the sport or even the recreation of surfing to modern times was fascinating. Blacks always have a hard time doing shit because white doesn’t trust them. Would you? Eventually this white shit is gonna have to wind itself down and that includes watersports [ll] and conversely boardsports.

Snowboarding, skateboarding and surfboarding will all get taken over by Blacks as soon as Blacks get access to the mountainside, the halfpipe and the beach. Just look at Sal Masakela. That dude went and skipped the line and is even hosting shows and submitting commentary on boardsporting events. The idea I left the movie with is that eventually everything will belong to white so just have fun with it while you can.

world hiker

The Timberland #68012 World Hiker were handcrafted in Montebelluna, Italy. Timberland set the bar at an almost unreachable level with these boots.

If Timberland doesn’t retro these shoes I won’t ever get to sport my OG pair. Let’s form a petition to ask Timberland to retro the World Hiker.

Who’s with me?
