A Letter From The Management…

Why so sad Kobe? DallasPenn.com is back on the internets.

It’s been so long since I’ve done a weblog post I almost forget how the formatting here works. The site has been on suspension by the server host because we haven’t upgraded the WordPress engine in about 6 years. Yeah, basically since the site has been on the web. The site has been getting hacked to death in recent months and it started to compromise the host server’s operations so they puled the plug until I got the upgrade.

I considered whether it was even worth my time to come back here on the site since I’m making sick amounts of YouTube videos along with the Internets Celebrities and I do that podcast show with Combat Jack and I have a dayjob and I have a life filled with drinking copious amounts of sponsored alcohol. But thanks to my good friend Robbie from UnKut.com the site’s engine did in fact receive the upgrade. Hopefully it won’t take me another 6 years to maintain this page’s infrastructure.

Now for those of you that truly missed the content on this site I thank you for coming back to us. I had grand ideas of changing the look and feel of the page but in the end I told myself that the content on this page will make up for any fancy bells and whistles you might find somewhere else on these internets. DP.com is, and will always be the illest of the no-frills, the swaggiest of the raggedy, the hi-class of the lo-fi.

I’m gonna drop a few YouTube videos that I’ve produced during the few months the site was suspended just so you can get an idea of what I’ve been up to. Remember when Arnold Schwarzenegger said he’d be back? Well, he ain’t neva lie ’bout that.

Most of y’all know that Sean Price is an official Sneaker Fiend. Sean P’s love for kicks goes back to his Kangaroos with the zipper pouch on the side.

On the heels of the Nike x Questlove collabo that was inspired by the nasty Gordon Gartrelle shirt that Malcolm Jamaal-Warner rocked on the Cosby Show, Sean Price has created his own shoe designs.

Ravishing Ruck Rude is calling this project the ‘LeVar Burton Pack’. LOL.

No, really.

Here are the shoe designs…

‘Geordi’ Air Max 2011
These Air Max 2011 are so futuristic you can’t see them. And sadly, neither can Geordi LeForge.

Reading Rainbow Blazer
Pause [ll] to this design. Read a book nigga!

Kunta Kinte Kobe V
Red for the blood that was spilled. Black for the people stolen from Africa. Green for all the money they made America. Gold for the chains that Black folks love to wear. Just don’t call these Kobe’s Toby.

The Boot Camp Clique Chronicles…

superboots

The boots above are part of the World Hiker series. They are super boots. Meaning they are some of the most intensive shoes you can wear. They are Gore-Tex lined and capable of withstanding temperatures down to 60 degrees below zero celsius. These boots don’t bullshit. I don’t wear mine too often because I’ve grown out of them, but I have several World Hikers that I still rock and two pairs that were handmade in Italy.

The following video features one of those Italian made Timberland World Hikers. This will be the final Boot Camp Clique Chronicles video for the winter season. I’d like to pick the series up again for the spring and summer if you folks are still interested. Let me know and keep sending me pics of your favorite boots.
