Trackstar Lifestyle…

Wednesday, November 7th, 2012

I haven’t pushed my fixed wheel bike in forever. I’m too damn heavy to put this horse on the streets, especially since my bike is fitted out like a traditional track bike. There are no brakes on this bish.

The motivation to get back on the Cannondale track shark is all these RLX I.T.’s I’ve been accumulating. RLX picks up the R.L. tech swag that Polo Sport used to have. Fresh designs, futuristic materials all on a funtional garment. This sweater jacket is cracktavius.

The sweater jacket is the perfect garment for you if you are active in the winter. Your arms are kept warm and your chest and back will be able to breathe and exhale while you move around.

I’m pushing to get back on the track shark by the springtime. Nothing is fuxing with a fixed wheel bike when you tool around New York City. I just gotta make sure I’m not 300lbs on that horse. Gravity x physics is a mutha.

I Too, Sing America Lifestyle…

For me, Ralph Lauren’s tipping point into iconoclasm was his use of the American flag on his clothing. He disguised his representation of the symbol on garments which were extremely well made. Prior to Ralph Lauren it had been considered sacrilege to WEAR the flag.

Looking thru the fall series which has gone on sale at Polo.com I see several pieces which incorporate the American flag along with Native America textile prints.

This reminds me of the contributions of the Native Americans to the Union efforts during the Civil War. These peoples had been slaughtered, removed from their lands and relocated several times, but despite all of that they still believed in the tenets of the Constitution.

The Native Americans too, sing America…

I, too, sing America.

I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.

Tomorrow,
I’ll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody’ll dare
Say to me,
“Eat in the kitchen,”
Then.

Besides,
They’ll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed—

I, too, am America.

The based godpoet Langston Hughes crafted that masterful verse.

Ralph Lauren has crafted these timeless Lifestyle knits with details that are obvious to the eyes, and some not so much.

The print at the nape is extra swag simply because ho one else knows it is there but you, or you could do a dP move and rock this knit inside out? LOL

Since we are entering the winter months I’ll prA’Li go after the longsleeve Lifestyle version so I can remain chill in my apparel aspirations while keeping the chill off my back.

Bandz A Make Her Dance…

Nike’s done with selling those silicon LiveStrong wristbands now that Lance has fallen from glory. Actually, Nike’s got an even sillier con game than $1 silicon wristbands. The Nike Fuel band measures your heartrate and movement and assigns you Fuelpoints. LOL.

I can’t front, I believed the hype myself. You go thru a whole day of life and touch the button to see that you met your Fuel points goal and when it lights up you feel empowered. Nevermind this latest silicon covered wristband costs $150. What would you pay for feeling good about yourself?

Nike is releasing new colorways of the Fuel Band in time for the high holiday crush. I’m ready to do whatver it takes to get mine. What about you?

Native New Yorker Lifestyle…

I’m on this Plains indians print theme after peeping the inner lining of that Mansfield trek jacket. Right now my bread is too short, like the rapper, to handle the pricepoint for that jacket so I cut some corners in my aspirations for apparel.

This full-zip hoody caught my vision board even tho’ I got the similar joint in faded salmon.

During my last visit to Atlanta(A3C) momdukes copped this I.T. for my bornday from the Lenox Square Macy’s Big & Tall store.

I already caught this hat from the same Macy’s back during the summer in anticipation of heating up a cold winter. You know I’m not new to this native print swag.

The Boot Camp Clique Chronicles…

Chocolate Snowflake is taking me up in the mountains for the weekend to help me loosen up my writing fingers. She’s enticed me with the promise that we’ll visit an outlet on the way back.

I’m hype to pop tags on a pair of Timberland for the trip.

Might have to drop these Rag & Bone ranger boots on the people?
