patty

Rep Your Sneakerhood rolls on at SneakerTUBE.tv and now I am on Jamaica Ave in the Q-Boro. There is a West Indian beef patty shop at the beginning of the strip that has held it down forever.

If you score a come-up you have to copp yourself a beef patty with coco bread.

You will be straighter than six o’clock.

In The Ghetto…

ghetto

J.Period produced this hard times street anthem anthem featuring Black Thought, Rakim, John Legend and the Boys Choir of Harlem, I think.

Nobody is smiling in the ghetto.

That dude in the pic above is my homey KyleStyle156.

KyleStyle is the dude that put me on into the graff lifestyle. Kyle brought me into the fold at this non-profit organization called ICRY which stood for Inner City Roundtable of Youth. ICRY would be all about getting graff kids public art projects. They wouldn’t pay the kids but when you are 13yrs old you want a reap and fame way more than money.

KyleStyle156 def had a rep. He and JonOneFiveSix were the last top to bottom kings on the 1 line. I used to post up at Chambers Street to catch their trains going to and coming from South Ferry. I just re-connected with KyleStyle via the interconnected networks at Facebook. Here are some of the pics he uploaded to his page.

sneakerhood

SneakerTUBE.tv is running a contest for the next two weeks called ‘Rep Your Sneaker ‘hood’ where they are asking members to upload a video describing their neighborhood sneaker store. It’s supposed to be a video about the places you copp your kicks.

Go to SneakerTUBE.tv for all the rules and details on the contest. There are gonna be some great prizes for the winners of the contest and since I’m one of the judges I can’t enter so now you at least have a shot.

I visited Richie’s on Delancey Street over the weekend for some Valentine’s Day retail therapy (loving myself >>>). I copped the Air Jordan retro 6s (L.A. Lakers) and the Air Jordan retro 13s (white) together for less than the box price of one of those shoes.

Delancey Street is STILL my sneaker ‘hood.

The Timberland 68084 is another premium boot from my archives.

Timberland makes the best shoes so that you can have the best experiences.

This is the main boot I wore during the 8 months I worked on the Ground Zero recovery and removals project at the World’s Trade Center.

I also wore these boots the last time I went camping with my dad.

Timberland makes the boots. It’s up to us all to find the adventure.
