The ICs Present… Cuffing Season

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

The autumnal season brings all sorts of familiar and favorable things to mind. The changing colors of tree leaves. Pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Christmas music being played in department stores. Monday Night Football. And another sport altogether… Cuffing Season.

The hot “skin was showing” summer was jumpoff season, with casual hookups as far as the eye could see. But as summer winds down to a close it’s in our very nature to begin preparations for the cold months ahead. The high holidays are meant to be spent with loved ones, or at least a warm body. Join the Internets Celebrities on a field assignment to find out if Cuffing Season is real.

Get Your Bell Rung…

Monday, September 24th, 2012

7pm, Thursday, September 27th
Schomburg Center, 515 Malcolm X Blvd., New York, NY
Click here to RSVP or call 212-491-2040

Join ImageNation Cinema Foundation and the Schomburg Center for the New York Premiere of Bell Rung: A Football Mindset. Scores of ex-players live a silent life of emotional, physical, and financial struggle resulting from their days in the professional arena, and endure lifelong struggles due to uncared for concussions.

Join moderator Michael O’Keefe of the NY Daily News, former All Pro Super Bowl champion Dorsey Levens, nuerologist Dr. Joelle Mast, director Zach Herman, producer Nick Basta and others, for a talk back following the screening.

Co-produced by Levens, Bell Rung asks the questions that need to be asked: Is it acceptable for professional football players to remain neglected by the league and owners as they confront a post-professional football life of disability and perpetual pain?

Should professional football players have to endure trauma-induced brain damage, early onset dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, often beginning well before the age of fifty and resulting in astronomical medical expenses without appropriate coverage?

Is society content to allow these former sports warriors to be cast aside and forgotten when they are no longer part of our national entertainment? Bell Rung answers these seeks the answers.

Log Cabin Lifestyle…

I love this time of the year. I’m already plotting my Outfit Architecture for the next few months. I’m going in for the nuevo-hikernati swag. I’m gonna be extra heavy on my Timberland grind.

I sold a few kicks on eBay so I could justify buying this vest in a meetup for $100

The plaid shirt and Tim 7-eye Goretex are from the archives at C.S. crib.

I love these Polo vests with the snap-off hoods. I have a black one as well, and now I just need the blue joint, or is that O.D.?

The 7-eye Goretex are sweet. I can tell you that I wear these joints without socks because they feel that good to my feet. That being said they aren’t my first choice as the footings for this ‘Fit. I’ve got my eye on a pair of Timberland x Rag & Bone ranger boots which are sublimely fresh. I’ma try and sneak this into C.S. crib under her radar.

I don’t even know why I’m putting these ‘Fits together since I don’t wear anything when I go hiking…
