Easter Itinerary Lifestyle…

Sunday, April 8th, 2012

Big up to iLLiLL who stays on me to keep the Lifestyle posts updated… He doesn’t contribute a single $1 to the prA’li fund tho’, but I’ll allow that his comments are an effective currency and drop motivator. So this is how I stepped out with Chocolate Snowflake on Easter Sunday.

We went to brunch at a local restaurant called Cheryl’s for their prix fixe fare and mimosas. The day was outrageously gorgeous and we both felt like walking around Brooklyn. I offered that we should take a trip to the DeKalb Market which is adjacent to the former Albee Square Mall site. I also had a pair of shoes with me which I wanted to shoot in a video with Fulton Mall as the backdrop.

The DeKalb Market was actually poppington and there was a booth selling $1 mimosas so I kept my drunken brunch fleaux in full effect. I didn’t dandy myself up this weekend since I haven’t been feeling to fresh to def lately. Y’all don’t need to hear my issues tho’ because I’m sure you don’t come here to feel worse either. LOL.

iLLiLL: As far as copping anything from the Commodoire series… Nope. I saw a few pieces I liked, but I didn’t press myself to spend on that series since I have so much shit already in my archives in the red, white and blue Americana colorways as you may have seen from the recent weblog posts. I might end up with something from the Commodore series if it filters down to the secondary outlets, but I’m still getting my chips together for more Modern Explorer I.T.’s.

Delancey Street Homecoming…

Monday, April 2nd, 2012

I can’t even stress enough how much I appreciate Reebok for giving me the opportunity to host an event at their space off Delancey Street. This night was like a homecoming for me. I was back on Delancey Street where my sneaker fiending first began more than 25 years ago.

Classic.

Salutes to Combat Jack and the whole crew from the Combat Jack Show who fell thru the event to support the kid. All my dudes held me down hardbody tho’. Premium, Solace, Aqua, ‘Naud, Dave, Jayson, Hobbs, J.Nicholson, Billy Anthony, Chad Wells…

Everybody!

Thanks to Cole for being my intern. DallasPenn.com never had an intern before. We still don’t know what to do with our intern, but we gonna put her to work. It ain’t gonna be free kicks every time Cole. LOL.

Big up to Sean Malcolm aka DJ Profile from King Magazine who came thru and held down the sound system hardbody.

Esso and his band Beatsro rocked the gallery with a mini set. Basquiat’s spirit was definitely in the air.

The whole night was classic. Thanks Reebok.

Shoplifting Lifestyle…

Friday, March 23rd, 2012

This brazen old white just walked up in the Polo mansion snatched a $25K handbag off a display and walked right out the store off into the sunset.

Why? Because the security is busy sweating Trayvon Martin’s cousin who might take a $200 scarf. Or actually, buy the $200 scarf because that Black dude ain’t try’na go to Rikers for that shit. I walk into a fancy boutique and I know I’m an automatic suspect. I accept that tho’, because when I was a teenager I might would have tried to robberize some shit.

The purse this white purloined wasn’t on that Hermes shit, but it was still official crocodile tissue. Salutes to that lady for being so thorough and going for the gold like a laser.

Timeless Truth: Get The Doe

It’s officially blast off time for the Dominican duo from Queens debut project titled ‘Rock-It Science’. Here’s a video for the first single featuring Action Bronson, who has pretty much taken over my website for the week.
