FANBOYZ UNITE! – DWAYNE McDUFFIE

Monday, October 17th, 2011

Even from the alternate universe of the hereafter Dwayne McDuffie is of singular influence and importance to fanboys of any creed or color.

Dwayne discusses the difficulties in bringing Black characters into mainstream comicbooks. The rule of three being that if there are three Black characters then the series is ‘Black’. Let’s face it, Blacks in real life are already threatening to most white, so can you imagine the angst that Black males with superpowers gives?

I caught this clip at Kwame’s website GEEKMODEONLINE.com

There is something very futuristic yet very alien about the Nike Foamposite shoe. I was having a hard time recalling why the shoes upper was so tantalizing to my eyes. Then out of the blue I remembered how the shoe was reminiscent of drawings I saw from that German nutcase H.R.Giger.

The exterior ridges on the shoe give it that exoskeletal appeal and the clear outsole is certainly how it is being done in outerspace. The shoes featured below are a player exclusive for Penny Hardaway himself. Lucky bastid.

McDONALLIONAIRE…

I’m willing to give myself a heart attack to win this McDonald’s Monopoly contest. I’m only one piece away from a million dollars.

What would you do with a million dollars? You wouldn’t be able to enter the 1% tho’. Because after you paid the taxes on your winnings you’d be down to only $500K. The real 1%’ers don’t have to pay that much tax on a million dollars. They know how to loophole their wealth so that they stay rich. I’m clearly going to be a 1%’er until I die.

I just hope I find those million dollar fries.

Biggups to Chocolate Snowflake for stitching up my Dr.Doom hooded cape. I wanted to go to NY Comic Con today dressed as Doom and just geek the fux out. I stayed home instead and slept late, but next year I’m definitely doing the cosplay nerdcore shit.

NY Comic Con keeps growing by leaps and bounds to the point where it will surpass San Diego’s event for nerd authenticity. I ran into an old friend on his way into Comic Con so we chopped it up for a few.

#OCCUPYWALLSTREET

As Occupy Wall Street rolls into its first month of protests I shot a few clips in and around the circus atmosphere.

Handmade signs are the budding business being created by the P.I.C. (Protest Industrial Complex)

The protests in Zucotti Park are relatively tame and organized, but when the protestors leave those confines is when the shit hits the fan.

This weekend the protestors took over Times Square with their handmade sign bullshit and the NYPD decided to bring out their mounties. Pretty soon this protesting is gonna reach a fever pitch and that is when the video footage is REALLY gonna get exciting.
