crack cocaine

I didn’t create Sneaker Fiends Unite! just to be coy about my love for kicks. I am a bonafide addict. I consume kicks like a crackhead fiends for jumbos. I love to smell the insides of my shoes right after purchasing them. I have to make sure that my boxes are undamaged. I love to spend less than $40 for a pair of heatrocks. Sneaker Fiends Unite! is going to take you into the mind of the addict so that you can see how truly obsessed we are.

I’ve had my eyes on the Nike 1/2 Cent shoe. My favorite colorway after the blue pair is the one pictured below – Black / Green Spark. The original retail for these shoes was $170 but the price has come down to $110 in some of my local stores.

1/2 cent

When I saw these shoes in my size in the Marshall’s at the Atlantic Terminal I had to copp me a pair. I love these joints and I nearly bought two(2) pairs because the price seemed to be that good. That was in June. Two weeks ago I came up on these shoes in A.J. Wright for $40. I nearly shit on myself. I had to buy a pair even tho’ the smallest size was 13.

The next thing I did was to return the size 13s to Marshalls using the receipt of the pair I paid $100 for. In effect I now have a pair of 1/2 Cent in my size 12 that I have paid $40 for. I followed this up by returning a pair of sneakers to A.J. Wright using the receipt of the $40 shoes. The pair I returned were some Court Forces that I copped in V.I.M. for $10 on a last pair closeout.

So basically I have the green 1/2 Cent for what amounts to be $10.

As I was winding my way thru the A.J. Wright I spotted another pair of 1/2 Cent. They were also size 13 so I let them be. Someone out there might really want those joints in that size and all I’m going to do with them is use them for more sneaker chicanery.

salmon

If you knew how fucked the fuck up farm raised salmon was from the gate you would only eat pork. Per volume it is filled with the most anti-biotics of any meat. Put it to you this way… Farm raised salmon is bad for you. Period.

So when this biotech company, AquAdvantage, is pushing a salmon that has been genetically modified to remove all the bad shit that comes from raising these fish in the filthy water conditions of fisheries I think we should all embrace the future.

Besides, they have prA’li been pushing genetically altered salmon on us for the last decade since they invented the process. Think about all the shit you already eat that has been made different from science. Seedless watermelons are modified. How the hell can a watermelon NOT have seeds. That’s like a person not having sperm or ovaries.

What I’m trying to tell you is that the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of this funky fish is a forgone conclusion considering all the contaminated Gulf seafood we can’t bring to the table.

Soylent Green however is people.

jetting

I’m leaving on a jet plane, I don’t know when I’ll be back again…

I jetted on y’all back in June without too much of a goodbye or warning. Let’s just say that I needed to take a break from the site after 5 years and 4400 posts.

I was also a bit frustrated. The culture that we live in is all about getting what information we can for free and then using that info to exploit our lifestyles. I download music, movies and just about anything else that flows thru the digital ocean. Why should people treat my site any different?

I thought that pointing to the prA’li link on the sidebar was enough to remind folks to support the efforts pored into this website. The writing and content here still doesn’t receive any corporate sponsorship despite my willingness to create advertisements for the brands that I consume and promote. Maybe one day that will happen, but until that time this page will remain here thanks to your donations.

Why should you donate?

Think of this page as a cookie jar in your home. It’s nice to be able to come here and take a cookie whenever you want, but who will put the cookies back in when they are all gone? We don’t think about this when we are children, but when we grow up we realize that someone has to go to the supermarket to buy us some more cookies. Does that make any sense? LOL. The prA’li button helps me buy us all some more cookies.

I don’t want you to think I’m trying to put you folks into my debt bracket with this fundraiser. The prA’li movement is happy with $3. More importantly it puts YOUR name down as a supporter of DP.com and the BluCheezTV brand. I just met a friend in Harlem who introduced himself as reader since way back in the day. I asked him why he never even left a comment and he just shrugged his shoulders. Please don’t be like dude. Let me know you really appreciate the time I spend putting this page in front of you.

While I was away I need to thank Robbie, Meka, Nation, eskay, iHipHopSam and of course Combat Jack for all allowing me an outlet to still talk my talk while DP.com was down. In case you missed these drops here are the links…

ice cream

I have been on my New Balance grind so serious for the past few months.

Aside from the Air Max 2009 there is no other shoe I’m looking to consume at the moment that isn’t from the New Balance stable. I peeped these 1300’s a few weeks back on the CrookedTongues site and I have been smitten ever since.

Too bad they aren’t making it to the States unless you have heavy cream to drop on them.

That must be why they are giving me the ice cream inspirations?

The only people that rocked New Balance back in the day were professors from Columbia and hustlers from Harlem.

Columbia just received the legal right of eminent domain to increase their land holdings in Harlem. As the poor people get shuffled around for more professors I also imagine the hustlers will return to Harlem to stake their claim as well.

New Balance is poised in this perfect storm for a renaissance. I’m on my way to Atmos 125th.

elemental

Just prA’li not in our lifetime tho’…

While the Gulf of Mexico will be fucked the fuck up for a long ass time there is some other shit we have been fucking up since the G Dubbz administration. Namely, Afghanistan.

Afghanistan seemed like a shithole to me. Especially when you looked at all those pics from the days of their war with the Russians. I mean yeah, they have hell’a poppy fields and that helps the heroin dealers move horse like a mother, but do we need to keep losing American lives so the Amy Winehouses and Lindsay Lohans can stay lifted? My problem was that I wasn’t using the molecular microscopes that the Pentagon has in effect.

Afghanistan looks like a land filled with deserts of sheepherders when in reality they might be one of the richest nations on the planet. All that bombing we have done to the Afghan terrain in search of, er, yeah, has uncovered a vast wealth of mineral resources that were previously unaccounted for. Something to the tune of trillions of dollars in mineral wealth. Iron, copper, gold, cobalt and LITHIUM. Wait until the Energizer bunny hears about all the lithium they have in Afghanistan. And you know that dude doesn’t stop beating his war drum for nothing.

He just keeps going, and going, and going…

The Gulf of Mexico? That shit will be clean enough to drink from in a few years and life will return to that region.

Afghanistan? Not so much.
