Remembering Brooklyn’s Finest…

bk bridge

Celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge continue throughout the summer. I came across a video made for the shuttering of one of the boro’s most historic landmarks. Sadly, Empire Roller Rink was not as important to some as it was to the others.

My last time at the rink was in the fall of 2003. KeiStar Productions was doing a classic 80’s roller skate party. KeiStar + Brooklyn = That Sexy Black Spacehip. Do the math.

KeiStar Productions featuring DJ SPINNA takes over the Brooklyn Museum of Art this Saturday. This landmark is one storage building that they won’t ever close.

You never know though.

Bring your roller skates just in case.

The iNternets Celebrities are back on the scene with our latest video titled ‘Checkmate’. Don’t kill yourself yet if you haven’t seen the clip. Just go here. Not now, right now.

RAFI and CAS have been helping me get my dreams out for almost two years (I also include the time that RAFI spent consulting me on how to present my website to the world). My way of thanking these dudes has been to gift them with something that really shows my appreciation. We all know how much I go in for NIKE Dunks on the regulack. I have given a pair to everyone who I feel has helped this site move up to a higher level of recognition. Everyone that is, except for CASIMIR NOZKOWSKI.

As the director and O.G. editor of the iNternets Celebrities, CASIMIR is the dude directly responsible for whether our videos sink or swim. I doubt anyone here on these internets, including RAFI and I would want to sit through six hours of video footage in order to construct a ten minute video. Let’s just admit that RAF and I are not that endearing. None the less, CAS does that and more in order to make our videos web ready. RAFI and I just reap the public’s acclaim. CAS deserves a pair of Dunks by this time.

The Dunks I prefer to gift are the 6.0 skateboarder joints. Extra cushioning for the tongue and ankle collar with premium suedes and leathers on the shoe’s upper. The 6.0 are all around just a better shoe for athletic and/or casual wear. I should know since I have like uhdeen pairs of them. The first pair I tried to come up on for CAS were these all brown suede joints off eBay. I was outbid at the last second.

iCs

The next pair I tried to hook CAS up with was from Dr. Jay’s. Out of no where they had these joints on sale in navy blue suede with bone toned leather in the toebox and misole. Too bad Dr. Jay’s only has these in 9.5 and 13.

Now I see these on eBay. The price tag is steep, but these shoes have flavor. I will prA’li have to dip into my PayPal fund to copp these, but why not? The i.C.’s videos just keep getting better all the time. Shouldn’t the people behind the camera should get some shine as well?

The newstand at the commuter rail station has a million magazines for sale.

I will bet you that there are images of Blacks on one quarter of all the magazines being sold.

Since African Americans account for reportedly on 12% of the U.S. population, but are pictured on 25% of all magazine covers you can make the argument that racism no longer exists.

DON’T try to make that argument just yet though…

ESPN (Walt Disney Co.) has put KEVIN FERGUSON a/k/a Kimbo Slice on their latest cover. America still loves (read: FEARS UNCONTROLLABLY) the large scary negro.

Kimbo Slice is one of the featured fighters in a televised mixed martial arts contest. Mixed martial arts is going mainstream and everyone is placing their bets on FERGUSON to be the MMA version of MIKE TYSON.

I’m fucking with the magazine sitting next to ESPN.

Whether its the Boogieman or the oversexuality of the savages, Black people stay losing.

Even more ghey than Lil’ Wang shirtless with a chainring through his right nipple hooked onto a smiling skullface attached to Birdbrain’s beltloop.

Ghey x 3.

Ghey cubed.

But don’t take my word for it since I’m just a player hater.

Even the Hindabi cats that stock the newsstand shelves know this magazine belongs in the ghey section above the Triathlete Monthly.

Oh, and yeah…

Why do you think that 70% of Black women are single? They wanted it that way. If there aren’t any Black men available for these women isn’t it ultimately the fault of the women who raised the Black men?

Yes, we should also blame the men that DIDN’T help raise these Black men, but what do they care?

Leave it to OPRAH WINFREY to stir up the the cauldron of discontent. OPRAH thinks that there aren’t enough Black men to satisfy the demand. There are tons of Black men though. I’m talking about Black men that work hard and honest.

There are also tons of Black mothers that coddle these dudes so far into adulthood because these mothers don’t want to let go of the one Black man that has needed them throughout their life. That’s right ladies and gemtlemen, Black mothers are currently ruining Black men. Not all Black mothers, just most of them.

These mothers are ruining their daughters as well. So when these daughters become mothers this Oedipal syndrome cycle will persist. Yes, it would be of tremendous benefit if the fathers of these Black children were active in the childraising and nurturing. There are still plenty of mother-father parent units that exist in the Black community.

Somebody needs to stand up and admit that Black women ultimately choose to be single and unmarried because they are horribly selfish. The compromise required for a sustained relationship is not within their grasp. Look at OPRAH herself. She obviously is having her cake and eating it too. She is definitely eating her cake. On a much smaller level than OPRAH Black women are unwilling to compromise their lifestyles.

There are plenty of Black men who are suitable and worthy mates if Black women would just get their shit together.
