Daryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels new venture into pulp fiction is popping off at the perfect time. I’m pretty sure DMC will feature his first issue at the NYC Comic Con this weekend.

Here’s a preview of the cover(s) for the premiere issue…

Outfit Architecture…

Twin Towers NY 23

I apologize for giving you another Outfit Architecture drop without some other content to buffer the spacing. Since I just paid my annual server charges (on time I might add – Thanks Combat Jack) I should be doing more drops more often.

The ‘Fit pictured below is what I’m donning for the Indian Summer we are having here in NYC. Muggy weather and record high temps are keeping me in short pants.

Chocolate Snowflake said I was a bit thirsty to rock these socks on a day that is rumored to reach 90 degrees. Yeah, I’ll be hot but that has less to do with the socks and more to do with the Timberland heat rocks I’ll be popping the tags off.

The Intervale Mid city hiker was a shoe I bought on my recent trip to Atlanta. It’s lightweight and has a nice lowkey profile. It’s being called a ‘city hiker’, which I think is the new jazzy term for walking shoe.

The Intervale Mid is on crazy sale right now for $65 with FREE shipping. I had to copp myself another pair for the DS archives.

KILL WHITE TEE!

Thursday, August 22nd, 2013

When I was a young impressionable weblogger and I thought I could change the world via my internet connection I started my own clothing line. I called it KILL WHITE TEE! The thought was that plain white tee shirts could be killed with style and swagger.

Plain white tees did die tho’ under the influence of people with common sense. But now the scourge of white tees is returning with an even more ominous agenda… Kanye West collaborates with a high end fashion label to sell a $120 PLAIN WHITE TEE.

It was after that moment I received a call from longtime DP.com supporter GabeRockka, who recently ignited his own clothing brand called Artillery Concern. Gabe suggested that it was time to bring back KILL WHITE TEE! to return some sensibility to the white tee game and at the same time keep it evolutionary and funky.

The two(2) designs we are using for this hyper-limited run of KILL WHITE TEE! products will be the iconographic image of Tommie Smith, Juan Carlos and Peter Norman on the medal podium at the Mexico City Olympiad in 1968.

KILL WHITE TEE! will be placed above the image.

The ladies tee won’t take a step back in subtlety. We choose Pam Grier in her empowering role as Coffy to put an end to the plain white tee madness in ladies tapered sizes.

Support DP.com and Artillery Concern if you fux with fashion forward Hip-Hop. I’ll post a link for where they’ll be available as soon as the shirts are printed next week.

Thank you Internets.

Jim Crow In The Age Of Hip-Hop…

My homie DICE RAW of the Roots has been working on a new project called ‘Jimmie’s Back’ which connects the prison industrial complex with the legacy of Jim Crow laws here in AmeriKKKa.

DICE RAW is one of those voices who always puts undeniable truth within his soulful art. Check out this dope documentary he put together as a sort of trailer for his project.
