Meyhem In Brooklyn…

Friday, August 10th, 2012

Meyhem Lauren and his Outdoorsmen brother AG da Coroner touched down at the Mishka store in Bushwick to drop a few raps on the people.

Meyhem Lauren is looking real Hulkish lately.

Don’t let me say that been I told you so.

Respect The Fly Shit still spinning in my iTunes.

Outfit Architecture…

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

I’ve been waiting to post this ‘Fit but I had to make sure my footings were rock solid first. This outfit was being built ever since I visited mom dukes in the ‘A’ way back in the spring. I didn’t copp any of the components back then but I started up my aspirations.

The electrolime Foamposites were released that weekend and I couldn’t get my hands on them. The dude from FootLocker who always sends me e-mails to post his press releases on my site wouldn’t reply to me. Atlanta sneaker shops carrying the Foamposites are so few and far between that I couldn’t make a connect. I was stuck, but still I had my aspirations.

RLX been on some shit since 2010 but I haven’t embraced the designs since I didn’t think I could make the transition in my life to getting back into ‘athletically aspirational apparel’. LOL. The kid been strictly casual, but I was wanting to be motivated to get fit.

I decided to get this ‘Fit starting with the Foams (which incidentally were the last I.T. copped).

The shorts are blue label from the Modern Explorer series. Marshall’s had these early in the spring for $40 and I opted not to wait on these to hit the clearance markdown. They wouldn’t have made it there. The tee is from an assist from the homey Krash One who told me not to fux with UniQlo since I wouldn’t be able to squeeze into their shit anyhoo.

Good looks Krash, Hail Meg.

The jacket is similar to the Whitewater series ‘Yosemite’ windbreaker we featured on this page previously.

The jacket’s technical superiority is unmatched. Bloomingdale’s pricepoints for these RLX pieces was unfuxwittable.

My favorite I.T. within this ‘Fit was the lining layer sweatshirt. It’s made with a sick soft brushed cotton and all kinds of strings and pulleys to keep me busy.

Bloomingdale’s dropped the price down to $35 so you already know the kid was copping one to rock, and one to stock in the dP Lifestyle Archive.

Lastly, shouts to the people at Poleberg.com for gifting me this custom licensed New Era fitted. The cap is made from this tightwoven canvas which is lighter than the wool caps and even water-resistant. Perfect for a rainy autumn afternoon.

This is how I does my lifestyle hardbody. Thanks for tuning in Internets.

Timeless Troops…

Saturday, July 28th, 2012

Timeless Truth’s logo is the realest graphic in the history of rap music. If you ever copped a tag inside a slant-face BMT line train you immediately recognize what I’m talmbout.

Super Bad Solace from TT gave me the call that they were finishing up the second video from their upcoming debut release ‘Rock-It Science’ and he wanted me to catch a scene. How could I NOT fly thru since he did me the favor of shooting the scene on Chocolate Snowflake’s front porch.

I met up with the homey Krash One at the Grand Army Plaza arch and we politicked on the state of culture while we waited for our brothers to roll up one by one.

Timeless Hess was next on the scene. He’s the youngest brother of the Timeless Truth fam (actual brothers) and Hess is brawlick as fux now. Plus he’s the shooter.

Meyhem Lauren and O-Prime arrived soon after with Solace and we all caught up on shit since everybody has been making major moves.

Meyhem puts some of his marvelous ad-libs on the tail end of this track just so you know it’s ‘Lo down.

Oh snap! The god Timmhotep makes a cameo.

Timeless Truth is the final piece of the Q-boro renaissance I saw developing a few years ago. These dudes are the five elements of Hip-Hop culture. The art, the fashion, the music, the entire lifestyle I live for is embodied by these dudes. Just wait until you hear ‘Rock-It Science’. As a matter of fact, go back and listen to the Timeless Truth EP ‘Brugal & Presidentes

NYC ain’t never left the rap game, the real shit just went underground to build up the troops. Heads ain’t ready.

RLXercise Lifestyle…

Saturday, July 28th, 2012

I’ve officially overdosed on RLX gear from the Spring 2012 programme. It didn’t help me either that Bloomingdale’s has been offering the ridiculous pricepoints on these items. The hoodie pictured above is now $25 (from $168). Heads have been sleeping on the RLX brand.

True, the RLX sports I.T.’s with more athletic cuts and shapes, but true to my aspirations I find the shit that fits, or I MAKE it fit. It’s BEEN past time for me to take the Cannondale off the wall and put it back on the streets. I finally got the money to make it right.

By the end of the year I should be rocking these RLX I.T.’s on the regulack.

My new nickname is gonna be ‘Sprockets’.

Water Gap Lifestyle…

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

I searched near and far for a pair of New Balance that would complement the Whitewater/Yosemite series of RLX gear I have been acquiring for my Delaware Water Gap trip Chocolate Snowflake and I are going on this fall.

Century21 came thru again with another pair of 581s.
